I have commented on some of it , please dont take it personally, we are here to learn , its not even my own opionion about you all , its how Mahogany could have taken it , yes assumptions i know but i only want to make it clear that we sometimes can be very unwelcoming to new people here , even if we dont intend to !

My words may be useless for direct purpose.. but even 'useless' involvement can stimulate the aura of a topic in positive ways!
Thats what i meant , its not a personal attack , just an assumption , i never used the word Useless
I do not see it as an attack Marta!

You did not use the word 'useless', but it came in my head somehow while I was writing.. please not ask how!
Second thingy, I never mentioned that you used the word 'useless'! Please no worries, it would make me feel terrible..
Dont worry friend * smooch* this is a heated subject , it will cool down as it always does , finding common ground is not always easy , Master Carlos just told me that , thats why we are here , to learn , i think its great , some think its annoying , its part of being in a Temple with soo many opinions , its fine , dont worry

thank you for taking the time to make this document
i stayed out of that thread because im white lol and it wasnt asking for my input
i see two equally important things here
the first is that i basically agree with your commentary
the second is that i dont really think anyone in that discussion really did anything WRONG per se
mis-judgement maybe, but i misjudge so much myself that its not even fair for me to say that lol
and even where the judgments werent perfect, the intentions i believe were to engage in a positive dialogue or to contribute ideas that are relevant
the nature of the conversation itself opens us up to points and positions that are perfectly valid in the greater context of the cultural dialogue, even if they werent appropriate to that specific context of that thread
like Triskar's experience with her daughter, or Cable's friend who was killed
those are legitimate points in the broader conversation of race and racism (they dont detract from the valid points of the discrimination that blacks face, i dont want to imply that they do)
they were out of place in this conversation, but i understand why they were mentioned, and i support that the BE mentioned, at least in the appropriate moments
and Wesli's or Adder's comment/s is/are a great example of something that we all know was perfectly friendly
i cant think of atime ive ever seen either of them be negative to anyone even when they/we deserved it
i didnt keep up with that thread much after snowy mentioned beyonce simply because im white and i didnt want to be one more white person jumping in to a situation that was specifically designed to filter out white people
but it seemed/s to me that the majority of the people who posted in it were really trying to be welcoming in their own ways
but its a topic that we all have pretty strong feelings about, and some of us have had some pretty bad personal experiences of our own
and for myself i have gone back to re-read and consider my own words, and i can say that once the "white privilege is keeping me down" campaign got going i was pretty well decided i wasnt interested in her POV anymore too
even the way that i word this right now shows my own bias, and i acknowledge that; i have strong feeling about that turn in the cultural discussion and i have made them clear
so i played a part in the deterioration of the event myself
by that point in the conversation, and in the context of the second thread which specifically began with the words "this is your place to argue" i would also say that the comments by mindas (his first one anyway) and lightstrider were perfectly accurate in and of themselves - the original thread WAS discriminatory, by definition it was exactly discriminatory
"are there any non-jewish jedi here? i would like to talk to any jedi except for the jewish jedi because im sick of those motherf88rs" lol or "are there any jedi here who are NOT from the netherlands? i dont want to hear anything else from those netherlanders"
its not a question of "was the topic discriminatory?"
but that it was discriminatory doesnt mean it was inappropriate - or unfair rather
racial discrimination IS inappropriate but i mean i dont blame someone for wanting to meet similar people
there is more than one valid angle
i dont hold anyone at fault here, i do think there are lessons to be learned
greater racial diversity would benefit this community
we have to all be able to speak our own perspectives and our own truths
but we also have to have good judgment about when and how we do it
People are complicated.

I agree, i put the comments out of context and exaggerated on purpose , i hope you saw that ..everything that was said is probalbly valid , and i mentioned not to take it personally because , its not what i believed to be , its an blown up opinion of what someone might percieve as such
