I do not speak for Council, TotJO or Jedi… these are my personal thoughts based on experience, what I have seen and what I know.
In the world of the corporeal...
When someone is reacting to something I’m sure they feel they are being just and fair (the quality of being just, impartial, or fair) dealing right action and conforming to at least their principle or ideal. They conform to their truth and reason at the time.
I have always said that justice is just polite vengeance; or, I have also said that it was no more than more civilized revenge. The real difference, that I see, is that with justice more people are involved and supposedly acting in accordance with a set of rules that are for the benefit of fairness and our wellbeing. But I have seen the Justice system in action and I will tell you that from my experience it is a farce. A mockery of actual justice and fair play, leaving only the stinging sensation of a slap in the face by a wet leather glove.
I believe we need to have a system in place to regulate law and dispense reprisals in an orderly and just manor. But, what we have in place now I sometime wonder if the anarchist have at least some merit to their thinking and that a taste of chaos, or at least rebellion, may cause action to set things in a better direction?
Our current just system is a game where people play with the lives of others to advance their own careers, make political statements or seek federal funding and capitol gains. And has very little to do with actual justice.
Seeking revenge will ultimately hurt you. In the long run, and over time, the events that take place before, during and after will only destroy you and/or worst, those you hold dear. Vengeance can be yours if you are emotionally detached and can come to a resolution that will be viewed as just by others. But, it is always others you have to appease or the reprisals will come back to you. And your actions will be deemed out of line.

Case in point. I grew up troubled and on the streets. "Squabing" was a word we used for fighting. I fought every one. EVERYONE. Any one who had a thought they could take me. The fights that had more than one person paid more. 3 on one was a good payday, and a sore one some days. At night I would come home and I would get " disciplined" for my action. My step dad found out. For years I took his belt fist and hate, never lifting a hand. He's my dad I would say. Then one day I realized something, um...I'm actually tougher than that. I take 2-3 some times gang fights and I'm cowering to this guy. I stood up. I broke that fear. I had it in me the entire time. This is not to say oh I was abused n mistreated, yes I was yes I have broken that chain. I AM stronger because, I AM. Later in life I got to join the US army and my call sign would for ever be Ares God of War due to me walking out of burning buildings.
I said all that to say this , yes take your time but also remember, you have been doing great things yourself... we never see em as great. Ego and all..but we have been doing great things this entire time. As you read this book be in that "teacher" state of mind, that mind of thought and analyse. You have it present.
Stretch that mind friend. It will result wonderful findings.
Revenge is tough and even tougher to break but it is possible.! I am living proof and will always be thankful for it.
