IMO.

I don't see that as a conspiracy theory, but as an oversimplification. First, we really talk power, not money. Money without the ability to control them, produce them and invest them means little. Then, we talk not absolute power but a dominating power. Then, the question is, to what degree can bend the law a person who *dominates* in power?

Power creates, metaphorically speaking, a force field. The weak unquestionably align with it. The strong question it and decide whether this affects their life enough to challenge it. And so they choose to be the change or to be patient.

There is another question, let's assume that they do not bend the law but indoctrinate society to the point when they can lobby whatever they want.

However, this case is similar to first: this time they bend not the laws of human society but laws of human nature.

The answer is same.

All above the law they create, all above the money they create, they're literally a different species and through years of eugenics, indoctrination, chemical lobotomy it actually seems true, except for the simple genetic defect they all have in that they are insane and will destroy the world to preserve their status.

I mean, imagine where ever you go you fly private jet no probs, you've got planes and trains of chefs going with you all the time preparing you food grown in the highest quality using the most natural methods from farms on land you own. You and your buddys own and control all the communications corporations, you basically gave the masses education to run your governments and industry, I mean, they want to be "God" they are pretty darn close if you ask me. Of course ya'll can shrug this off as conspiracy.

well i guess it's a good thing my family was stripped of their titles and holdings and exiled prior to ww2....managed to get some mongrel blood in the mix...of course it would be nice to have some of that wealth back right about now...

Note that not all people can be bought. I think a lot of it goes down to a break down in moral fiber of mankind.

Ask yourself, what is your price? Den is right, this is more about power than money.

If all I need you to do is look the other way, or say not guilty in a court. It may not be money, it could be, you child will have the best education, or your loved one will get all the medical needs provided for.

Or it could be the threat instead of the reward; a stranger walks up to you and says "I see your daughter, <name>, goes to gymnastics practice every Tuesday night at seven. Gymnastics can be very dangerous, I would hate to see her get injured."

If you are not content in the now, being who you are and where you are in life, then you have the potential to fall prey to influences like this. As a society we would need to rise above the desires for materialism.

Enlightenment is closely tied to sacrifice, we see it in many cultures and religions. Leave behind all of your past, release all you hold dear and precious and simply be. Much easier said than done. Can you leave behind your possessions, some could, what about your family? friends? loved ones if they are not willing to give up all?

But that would probably get labeled as a compound community and the people in power would have the government come in and shut them down. More conspiracy?

right you are....i've been offered considerable sums to do things against my morals more than a few times...and i refused...when i do something i feel is right and someone tries to reward me for it, i turn them down usually (unless doing so would be seen as rude) no matter how in need i may be...i don't believe one should be rewarded for doing what is right....when i do something it is because i feel it would be the right thing to do and it is something i wish to do...i never do anything i don't want to do, no matter what is offered if i can avoid it.

this is where i'm prone to ensure that no one can gain leverage on me, there are extremes i'll go to in order to ensure that someone pays dearly for attempting to gain leverage in such a manner...

If you are not content in the now, being who you are and where you are in life, then you have the potential to fall prey to influences like this. As a society we would need to rise above the desires for materialism.

exactly right, learn to let go of attachment and free yourself from manipulation...

i can and have done this several times in the past with what i see as an unnatural ease. these days i have very few things to leave behind which makes it much quicker to cut loose....i wouldn't consider myself to be fully enlightened yet....maybe partially at most...

Ill take a line from your signature as I think it applies to your post Lightstrider

Believe half of what you see and nothing you hear.

Please don't tell me you think aliens are thrown in to that mix as well? Conspiracy theorists are riddled with mental illness and lack much of any factual evidence to back up their claims.

I have seen far too many lives destroyed by this BULL**** to tolerate it, and it has impacted my own for far too long.

So long and thanks for all the fish

@Kohadre, I understand your point of view.

However, IMO, to fight ignorance with ignorance and doubt with anger is no Jedi way.

But, yes please, let's take the little green men out of this thread :) Except maybe Yoda. j-D

What ignorance?

Nothing he claimed can be factually proven. The only evidence to support it comes from conspiracy theories which are saturated in assumptions and science fiction.

Well, I doubt that anybody here holds a degree in this matter.

Conspiracy theories are dangerous and self destructive when person becomes attached to them.

I personally don't give a damn about them, but still I sometimes wonder how does the society work.

Fearing conspiracies or fearing conspiracy theories for me ain't much of a difference. Fear is boring, conspiracies are boring.

Education, however, is not.
