I agree with you, Khaos. It is possible to discuss the value of faith without claiming to either "have" faith or be able to define it scientifically.

As II use the word "faith", every one has it...
As defined by others, some do not...
I use one of the definitions that means it is interchangeable with "confidence, belief"...
Had we agreed that it meant a "belief in something without proof"...
I would have bowed out, or at least ceased posting on it as I was... :lol:...
The "confidence" shown that we all speak the same language, using the same definitions, is staggering...
In a world so accustomed to "cold hard facts", amazes me...
This thread, asking "the value of faith", should have had the definition agreed upon...
Rugdd doesn't believe (I am saying this in "confidence", lol) in "things without proof", as an intelligent human being, so why would the assumption automatically go in that direction? Automatically assume this is the definition we are going by?
