In India it is not uncommon for a girl to be murdered by her brothers or father in order to restore the families dignity.
In certain parts of Africa its considered acceptable to rape babies (in the belief that sex witha virgin cures AIDS)
In some Christian groups its considered acceptable to violently attack pro abortion lobbiests.
In many parts of the world its still acceptable to stone, beat or even execute homosexuals.

While I could go on with examples of things that I personally find offensive and against my own moral code, the people who carry out these attrocities are also, solid in their moral codes and dont question them. Rigid and blind belief is not only a comfort zone which stifles us, but is also one of the most dangerous things humans are capable of.

Perhaps people dont think enough.

Its both, I think....

When we do think, we dont always thin about the 'right' things....

And, thinking and not thinking, still requires balance... lol...

All things in moderation...

I don't like the attitude of "How can I pull that apart because I enjoy pulling things apart with my brain and it makes me feel superior?". THAT I would call thinking to much. But then again, that kind of thinking provides a very valuable tool. Surely we should be grateful to the person who stops us from thinking or acting in a harmful manner?

Ultimately, I think we all think what we're thinking because thinking it is what we need to think at the time. A waste of time and effort is a matter of perspective.

And in your opinion, and in the opinions of many....

And, it is our duty to try to educate...

But, they're not evil...

And to themselves, they are not doing anything wrong....

You have not lived their life, their lifestyles, their cultures...

You know little about them...

I think first you would have to believe in the concept of evil, which I don't. Evil exists only in the minds of humans who believe it exists. I believe things just are what they are and you can make of them what you will.

Actually lots of people seem to believe that sex with virgins will cure them of aids.
There are also lots people who believe the HIV virus doesnt exist (or cause aids).

And they probably outnumber the people who believe in the science behind it.
