i mean if i were to put upa post saying i hate rapists someone would ask why ...if i were to say because they were evil ...someone would argue that they arnt just misguided ......like they didnt choose to rape and harm others ...its just my opinion ....but its odd we feel that we have to tolerate it just because thats the way things are ...we can change that ...society dosent dictate the laws of morality ...everything we do affects others ....to puposly take an action that is intended to hurt for no reason other then the lies you tell yourself is wrong ...and in my opinion dosent take much thinking at all ...

I think what people are doing is more... asking questions.

The key to living a good life is to not "answer" too much. Oftentimes, when we stop processing, we become complacent and limited in our perspective. We judge, then, and we do not take into account all the possible outcomes. What you are describing isn't necessarily too much thought, but rather you are observing the abundance of questions that go on here.

It is ok, I think, to ask too many questions. It is better than being resolute and spouting off the same opinions over and over again.

Why does it bother you so much? Would you rather just live in a world where no thought went on? Where people just shuffled through life without wonderment or challenge?

I do not need to question a flower to appreciate its beauty either. But I do question why it is others may find it beautiful. That is how I begin to understand others. :)

Often there is more than one way to look at anything. Understanding more than one aspect affords us the opportunity to appreciate things for more than how we saw them.

The universe is full of marvel; why stop at the door and just look out when we can go experience it all? Sure, some things will suck... that's just how it goes. But I would rather live one day to the fullest then a lifetime of not much.

But I am also considered nuts by many! :P

hahhahahha :woohoo:

It is about many things...:)

Have you ever broke the law?

Man's law: been speeding, jaywalked littered, whatever, however small...

God's law: worshiped your phone/video game/girlfriend/ yourself more then him? (Worship no false idols), take the lords name in vein?

Nature's law: flew (in an airplane), uh, thats all I got on this one, lol...

Yes? Then you should be punished...

Dont rationalize, dont look for reasons or excuses, just follow the law...

Dont think, just do as you are told....

Say what?

The world is not 'black and white', but rather various shades of grey...:)

I break the law all the time...;)

I respect the spirit of the law, and try to not break them, but, it happens...

And who are you to judge my ex-wife for killing a girl?

You were not there, and have no idea of the circumstances...

That poor girl's family calls my ex a killer, a murderer.... when looked at it from a neutral point of view, the law determined that actually, even though my wife was driving the car that struck two girls, that my ex was not guilty of murder, or even involuntary manslaughter... And my ex never served a day in prison for that...

Is that fair to that family? No, some bad crap happened...

Is that fair to my ex, yes, as she was not even close to directly at fault...

Life is neither fair, or unfair, it merely IS...

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
As to your title....

This is the internet, which is a mental environment... These exchanges are happening mentally as much as they are physically, lol...

We think, becasue we have the time, and the leisure to be able to...

Some people dont bother, thinking they already understand all they need to...

Some, are just inexperienced, and will learn...

What a lovely can of worms! :)

Better to leave questions unanswered than answers unquestioned

Also, if you took the time to type out a post and nobody bothered to continue the conversation wouldn't you feel a little disappointed? Conversations many of the times include questions and opposing thoughts.

"I hate rapists."
"Me too."

Short convo...kind of boring.

"I hate rapists."
"Why do you hate them?"
"Do you hate the crime or the person?"
"What drives a person to commit such a crime?"
"Do you hate rapists more than other criminals?"

The list of questions and ways to branch off are endless which makes it more appealing for people to join in. Asking questions allows us to "bond" and get to know one another better. Without it I doubt TOTJO would have as many members.

Then again, it is sometimes nice to be able to just have an answer without having to go through the whole round about thought process. Do any of you experience this too? You have an answer to a question, begin to question that answer, which turns into more questions, until you end up back at the same conclusion. Interesting process, but sometimes a waste of time.

Laws are to help those who need the guidance, lol.... even the laws of the almighty can be flawed, as they were wrote, and translated, by man...

I follow my personal code, and most of the time, we can all agree killing is wrong, and the speeding less so...

There is no trouble when we all agree...:)

I think you have many thoughts floating around in your head, and we have crossed a few here and there, and the issue is a bit clouded...:)
