What is your take on religion

I believe that our lives and dedication should define our religion, rather than being defined by our religion, but that's me.

This is a quote from Naya, and sums up how I feel about religion.

Christians follow Christ.
Jedi are the Jedi.

Sure, some people call themselves Christians, and do not actively follow Christ.

Sure, some people call themselves Jedi, and are not actively pursuing the Jedi Path.

But, I do not seek to be defined by Jedi. I seek to define Jedi through living it. That's it. Nothing more.

I meant it as a whole (in that of which we love). Ask me to be a little more elaborate rather than assuming the disregarding of other living things. Were talking about beliefs not other living things.

Are you a human?

Is that what you call yourself? Or what other "humans" call you?

Why do you call yourself a human? Why are other "people" called humans too?

Maybe you and others who call themselves humans have things in common?

Do you and other "humans" have conscious awareness?

Do you and other "humans" see the sky as blue, and identify the moon as a satellite?

Wait... but isn't that diverting you from the rest of the living things on the planet?

What about them? Would you call them "earthlings"... creatures from earth?

What do all you earthlings have in common?

But wait... isn't that like making a club in the universe... the "earthlings" club?

So... what are you really? Honestly?....

Are you Orion Seraphim? Are you [insert your real name here]? Are you a Jedi? Are you a human? Are you an earthling? A terran? A solararian? Are you any of those things at all?

How many of those labels and "clubs" have limitations on acknowledging them?

What exactly can it truly, ultimately matter that any of these "groups" exist at all?

Does it matter what they are?

Or does it matter what you do with(in) them?

I was assuming nothing my good sir, I was asking for elaboration. I was just adding my thoughts to it in case that is what you meant(since that is how I took it) to save some going back and forth.

I can see that your mind is made. I hope that you feel the Divine Energy one day, I believe you'll be able to appreciate life more. Either way, I'm sure it'll be a good one. I appreciate the discussion, it's always nice to see an opposing viewpoint.

Usually when someone asks an opposing question with defined reference it isnt taken as "can you please elaborate" but like any conversation over the internet it is always miss communication :) i apologize but no my mind is not made. I have yet to find someone to explain to me the reason to further use the ideaological structures of religion (not at this point in time) based on the fact that our species seriously has no game plan of our future other than, Get off this planet and explore space. Our species has no structure; instead we use religion as a conduit instead of the fact that we exist and our world and species is still very faulty and no one as an authoritive force for humanity to stop non sense aggressively (intelligently or rough). It just shows how weak, dumb and naive we are as a whole. I am excluding the entrepreneurs like myself, charities and volunteers that offer their expertise and skills for nothing.

If you know anything about the phases of child psychology, about 99.9% of our species is still in phase 2.

We like to wait and watch things evolve rather than go in and handle it head on intelligently as we should. Instead we continue to use each other as examples for our future selves as to what not to do. When in reality the condition of species as it is now is already enough to use as a reference for our future. It's now time to take over but yet they are all still to scared of the idea of dying for the sake of progressing others. This is the difference between those elite (both warrior and/or intelligent) and the common people. Its selfishness vs selfish selflessness

this has nothing to do with philosophical thought....or any meta physical ideologies (maybe a little at it's core but not in the basics in which you put it)

Are you so sure. :)

Before you say "yes" and begin stating reasons or justifications, or even clarifications... I simply suggest... take some time on it first.

Read what others have to say here and see what answers you can find within the responses.

Of course they are scared of dying for the sake of progressing others. If they have no religion, no belief of an afterlife or their energy going back in to the Earth, why would they waste their life? I do not understand your logic, friend.

I don't think you get it, this thread has nothing to do with what your trying to say because all of humanity doesn't think in this way. Take the next step and move on from those ideas.

I'm not really sure you have caught what I am actually trying to say... though at the same time, I admit, I haven't been clear on what exactly you've been going on about since the the opening of the thread.
