Whyte Horse, I'm sure you jest a bit, but that is a perfectly valid function of the group, as needed. Because like you, though I am proud of my service, and my place in a long family tradition, there are things I am not proud of. You mention the Empire, and its negative actions. This is indisputable. But we grunts had little if anything to do with overarching strategic decisions about which country to. Level and for what reasons. This does not entirely excuse our involvement, but nor does it pin the blame squarely on us either.

Tl,dr version, if I had it all to do over again, would I even join? No probably not. But institutions like the army need jedi and like minds probably more than most, especially in the upper ranks, to hlp ameliorate the effects of Empire. Maybe one day even end them.

But, I would join, if I had it to do over... And, I think it should be mandatory, before college...

It would make some grow up quicker, like myself...

Instill pride in one's country (no flag burning crap, less anyway)...

Give some a skill set...

I tried my hand at the real world lol. My only regret is not taking my First Term Airman reenlistment assignment. I was hoping for an overseas assignment...I've been in for nearly nine years and spent all but the eight months of my Basic Training and Tech School at this same Duty Station

I tried 3 different times over a 15 year period, commission, enlist and finally commission again - and got knocked back each time for different reasons :lol: :blink:

I too would like to believe that the Imperial Rulers of the New World Order Military will convert to Jediism and become Benevolent Dictators for Life... but something tells me otherwise.

Suppose, hypothetically, you wanted to control all of humanity so you could do things like spy on them while they can't get a job while they lose their homes to illegal foreclosures and die of completely treatable maladies. Sure, I know what you're thinking... here comes another Illuminati or NWO rant, or maybe a Sith conspiracy or devil worshipping cult... but seriously think about how you would go about controlling everyone in the world.

Once you've figured that out, suppose you're now the Imperial Lord of the World. You have that ferrari you've always wanted, a big fat private jet, fine wine, women worship you, nobody dares say anything against your will... when all of a sudden some homeless guy in a tent brings it all crashing down. So you send your stormtroopers out to beat them to death. And then some teenager streams it live to the world... and then some sysadmin leaks all your dirty little secrets... and some hackers leak your other dirty secrets...

Honestly, if I have it figured out and am the Imperial Lord… I don’t give a crap what the people of the world do or what they say my minions have done. Nor will there be anyone to oppose me so still, who cares?
