I think the quote by Tywin Lannister from Game of Thrones is appropriate here -- "The lion doesn't concern himself with the opinions of the sheep."

Through my divine benevolence, I have decided to allow Brenna the job as my representative in this realm, and my High Priestess. All others must see Brenna for placement in their new positions in the universal order. Minion roles to be assigned by the head of the church of Wescliism.

The High Priestess and voice of your new god has been appointed…

You are all permitted to worship me now.

hahahhahahhaha  :silly:  :woohoo: :P

I think I'll take over the Force's place as supreme everything of everything. :silly:

alastor has a question...thoughts?

'Does future military count? I've been signed into the Army for ROTC after being forced to by my father and grandfather. Both sides of my family have served in the military since the Civil War and I MUST "continue the family tradition." :/'

seems OK. I'm not sure what the group is for anyway :D

"forced" sounds kinda bad though. but it's reserve so that's not so bad I guess.

If my family tried to force me to go into the military I would tell them they may as well disown me.

It is one thing if your country (ex. Israel) requires you to go in, but I don't want a reluctant service member standing next to me on the frontlines- I want someone that wants to be there with me. I'm proud to say I fought my family to go into the Army at the age of 17, and am fighting the same family members again to go to the coast guard (if I can get in, it's a work in progress) 10 years later. They still love me after all this time. I had a conversation with a friend from middle school yesterday, he told me his mother refused to talk with him for 3 months after he got into the Army, he's out now but his mother is proud of the service he did despite being an adment pacifist. That story is all over the military- I'm sure Alastor's family would get over it if he found a way to opt out of going into the service. You don't want in? Then fight the peer pressure and don't go in. I not anyone else here will think any less of you for following your own heart- why should you think less of yourself disregarding what your family wants?
