Counters for sale !
But back to the "popular" thing.. could it be a different word at least?? Like "most viewed"? Or maybe.. someone could just permanently remove me from it? lol

I find the thank you counter interesting; but, not terribly important. The friend counter… I have no real use for it but if some people find it fun or whatever it doesn’t bother me any.
Ultimately, I don’t think any of the counters are really “important” so to say. But I also don’t see how they hurt anything either. If anything, they are a tool. And depending on how they are used by the individual, they can let you know what’s going on.
“I have more friends then you.” Well, that tells me the person needs to work on humility. “I hate it and am appalled.” That tells me the person needs to work on tolerance. “I need it to keep track.” That tells me that I and others could learn to be more flexible.
All life will give you opportunities to grow as a person. The question then becomes, wil you learn from those chances?

I mean I may see that a person has made 31 posts say, and I'll mark with a Thank you the ones I read -- but I don't count thereafter to see if there are 31 ... besides, apart from checking journals, if I do miss one, it is not a catastrophe.

That is all, I do it for almost every application I check...
If I get an app, and I go looking for the oath, and cant find it, I look to see if there are any posts, which tells me I may have missed it, or it is in another location...
There are other ways too, but, as it used to show in a persons profile, it made it easier than looking around...

Now, I have to have a special 'favotirte page to verify peoples posts because they no longer tie-in to the profiles...
Oh well, first world problems...

-- and thank you for not taking that badly. I mean, I wasn't questioning you - I really was curious as to what you were doing there. So really it was just a boring, everyday sort of question, and I had really crappy wording. Sorry ...
I guess for what I do, I don't really have any need for either ; they were just numbers.
And this whole "friends" thing ... I haven't quite got the hang yet. It could just be that I'm an idiot, but it seems complicated.
So, back to the counters. It doesn't seem like something that should be very important. Couldn't just Jestor and Wescli have counters ? They know how to use numbers. I don't ...

Jestor, to see someone's posts, you can go on their profile, on the sidebar there's a link "activities -- forum posts" That will show their forum posts.
