hmm...I think i've talked about this before .Still if you dont mind id like to add that if we follow through with this i think we should teach it much like the \"one man against the world technique\"
If we teach by distance.
Teaching weaponry to use of your surroundings and then CQC!
At the CQC level we teach what ever style the Order wishes to make.

TkD.. i practiced that for 3 years when i was younger
and it dose prove to be effective but i have reciently taken up Brizailan jiu-jitsu. it teaches defense counters and attacks for people that are stronger and or bigger than you. not to mention its all ground work and takedowns so it leaves room for other
techinques like TKD

I have taken Taekwondo for the last 8 years, as well as many other martial arts, and it is by far my favorite. I am only a first degree black belt however do to the fact that for the last 3 years I have not been taking formal formal classes, but have recently gotten back into them. I wish to expand my connection of mind and body even further.

Jeet kun do is more of a compilation of styles.Just like Jediism is a compilation of religions.

Take what works and keep adding to it.

Im sorry, Br.Daniel, Jeet Kun Do is not a compilation of styles

it has NO style
there is no specific form
it is a way of living in martial art form
this is coming from a practicing gung fu JKD member

Haha and again in reference to the original topic posted by Perris:

Perris...do not forget, we are also in searching for perfect harmony of the hands and feet..not just the psychological point
Have to remember that Tae Kwon Do literally means Hands and Feet

Wow, we certainly are a bunch of Martial arts experts! I myself have no interest in hand to hand combat. I would focus on learning to wield a sword or lightsaber. Although I do recognise that in teaching myself to wield close combat weapons I actually invent my own style of fighting that is unique. But I could never spend enough time to become a black belt in some form of martial arts. Well not at the moment anyway. Maybe in the future.
