Free speech break off...;)
Should you cause mental harm by persistent harassment and bullying should you also be arrested?
Just as some can withstand physical trauma and others can't, so some can withstand mental trauma and others can't...
Just something for people to think about

And can be child endangerment/abuse...
So, people need to be aware, in my opinion, you have the right to say what you will, and face the consequences...
And, that consequence, may be a punch in the nose, lol... But, if I have the right to punch you in the nose, then I have to be prepared to be arrested...
Maybe I'll just kick someones butt next time...
"Help" my brother or sister see the error of their ways, lol...

I'm all for having good manners, but I'm also not for being shi! on by other people just because I don't want to make their day worse.
In your opinion, what's the proper balance? Or is it a case-by-case thing?
I'm all for telling people to f off. In fact it's the best defence there is against those who think they are so rightful they must tell you how you should live your life. imo
And quite honestly, if the rest of your countrymen feel this way, it might be why Americans think (stereotypically) that the French are rude....
It couldnt be because we are big, whiny, fat babies, could it?
Honestly, I agree with the mindset... Just like poking at you my friend...
You know what? You're probably right. I'd never thought of it this way.
definitely. Well. Maybe not. People cross the line sometimes. whether it's physical or mental, the first option should always be for people to say sorry and go away... you know, before it becomes "persistent". I don't like to see the police getting their nose everywhere, it creates an environment where people cannot create their own solutions to their problems.Should you cause mental harm by persistent harassment and bullying should you also be arrested?

Does that assume the victim has to empowered enough and able to communicate to the offender that they are feel victimized, so they can then stop and say sorry? I'd like to think a decent society would embrace some compassion as to the reality that those who are already weakened and vulnerable should not be assigned the burden of controlling a psychological or physical assault in that way.

But, it does seem that the lower the "class" of people, the larger the percentage of "rude, yet honest" people you meet...
Lol, I just thought of it...
But poor people, rude or not, are honest to you... Sometimes brutally....
RIch people, ehile smiling at you, will talk about you behind your back...
Lol...

I have several ideas as to why it is… and I am certain that none of them would be popular. People generally do not like having their short comings pointed out!

There are times when I miss the way things were and how people “use” to behave. And then I remember a quote…
“It is said that what is called "the spirit of an age" is something to which one cannot return. That this spirit gradually dissipates is due to the world's coming to an end. For this reason, although one would like to change today's world back to the spirit of one hundred years or more ago, it cannot be done. Thus it is important to make the best out of every generation.”
