Not real interesting.
I am sorry I can't support an organization that promotes the likes of Lynne mctaggart.
If the Jedi temple wishes to flourish into the future you must separate from the charlatans, and not promote them as essential reading.
If I am wrong I give you express permission to send your intentions to me using ESP.
I wish you well
May the force be with you
Ps the bill Moyer/ joe Campbell stuff was great.
Thankyou

...

I think we've actually talked about the McTaggart stuff being more about the lay reaction of the theories of the Force. The fact that it's essential reading doesn't mean that it's necessarily "law". It's just another perspective.

Are you... offended by it? Maybe this is your issue as much as it's ours.

You know, from what I understand, posting an essay of why a particular author sucks is just as good as posting what you learned by reading their perspective.

Material is presented to Initiates for a variety of reasons. A response could be the reading is bunk. It's not supported by evidence and either can't be tested scientifically or has been proved false. That's sometimes the right answer or at least a good one.

I'd have to check again John but I think mctaggart does say things which have been proven false...

I personally wrote an essay saying that her ideas were interesting but that I don't believe her for a second :D not at least until she can back up what she claims

I hope you are still around to read this Donkey :)

Oo-oo-oo, can I play?

OK, everyone else was the nice guy.... Let me try a different tact...:woohoo:

Hi donkey!

Well, yea...

6 lessons on Campbell, great...
2 lessons on Watts, great...

One lesson on McTaggart, that sucked for you....

Roughly 1/8 of what you have experienced sucked for you, yea....

You prolly quit watching your favorite team after the lose their first game, 8 games in the season, they suck...

Yea, I would too...

Or..,

Aww, really?

You come by my house and leave so soon?

AND insult my wife's cooking on your way out?

Hey, thanks!

Or....

Your leaving?

Great!

We really don't need judgemental people here who don't ask questions about material, and seem to think they know best....

How ever did you get through school?

Being smarter than all those who went before you?

Now I kinda wished I'd been nicer, you have so much to teach me about how I'm wrong....

Or, last one I promise...:)

That Donkey, what an stubborn ass....

;)...

Actually donkey, I'm one of the first usually to talk to someone about why they are leaving, are unhappy, or what ever their issue is...

It seems the others have beat me to it, so I went for the comedy...:)

But, I still had a/some point(s), and I hope you could see them....

Not every place is for every one...

I seriously hope you change your mind and stay, but you aren't the first, and won't be the last to find us to your unliking...

Andy Spaulding's (sorry Andy for calling you out) lessons on Campbell ripped Campbell up... Andy's not a fan... lol...

But he is one of the few, and perfectly entitled to his opinion.... (wrong as it may be, lol, just playing Andy!)

Everyone else has covered what I'd say pretty good, so I'll stop here....

See you around (I hope)....

Regardless, good luck, and enjoy your life's journey...

On walk-about...

Jedi ain't Saints....

Like master akkarin, I did not care much for mctaggart either. And like jestor, I find quitting a long term project after 1/8 is found not particularly to your liking weak.

Eh.. Depends on how you look at it... You could join the army to protect your country... Imagine if you discovered after a while that you were in fact helping people you perceive as enemies... You'd have a "wait WTF you guys are full of shit" moment....
