Our whole society has been able to progress because breakthroughs in science could be verified by others, and passed down as knowledge from one generation to another.
This is precisely how my school made progress.
That being said progress from an individual standpoint, ultimately comes from actual meditation and training, and not reading books or instruction from teachers.
However without that instruction you would have never been practicing the right method.

Sad indeed.

HAHAHAHA!!
With the exception of a couple of Khaos's posts, where I corrected for atrocious grammar that made the post hard to understand, I have never altered a quote.

If what you have works for you why change it. If you are satisfied with your path, more power to you. I say that honestly, sincerely and without sarcasm.
As to dogma, I keep an open mind. Any teacher that gets results and allows themselves to be investigated by science is one I would like to study under.
Teachers that don't get results, aren't ones I would like to study under.
As to being stagnant I investigate every teacher, teaching and school that I am able to find that has real science backing it.

If you want what Maynoth wants, you go with his method.
If you want something else, you do something else... I don't see why everybody argues with him... lol. I certainly understand his point of view. I don't think it's what I'm looking for, so I don't do it. But, I don't ram up against him every time he tries to share his ways.

I think we are getting along just fine now. It just took a while to find common ground. I'm fine with him and it's been a good discussion. I wish more would speak their mind.
I'm still hung up on the "science" word but that is me.
