- Do not try to understand me... rather realize there is no me.
Normally I feel some kind of inner peace but lately it hasn't felt right... when there is balance in the world, things fit together as they should but lately there are a lot of round pegs in square holes, if you know what I mean.
To give an example: Look at the long laundry list of problems the US has and the even longer list of ingenious solutions put forth... yet not one problem has been solved; and this, to me, is a clue that the will of those who have the power is focused on other things. Then you look at what they are focused on and it's usually weapons, security, spying, control, etc.
Oh if someone can move this to the correct forum that would be great, I accidentally added it to the wrong place.

OR
You just woke up on the wrong side of the bed with some sort of stomach fault that's not settling you. Or you were just tired or fatigued. I've done an annoying and painful course in fatigue management and the amount of nasty stuff not sleeping right can do to you is intense. It can and will cause illness, mood swings, severe depression. Suicide rates are higher amongst night shift workers than day shift.

From a more general perspective, I too sense that 2013 will hold some serious trials for humanity as a collective. But everything happens for a reason, eh?

I hope that anything I said could be of use

May the Force be with you!

This was taken off of an Assyrian clay tablet: "Our Earth is degenerate in these later days; there are signs that the world is speedily coming to an end; bribery and corruption are common; children no longer obey their parents; every man wants to write a book and the end of the world is evidently approaching."
Obviously, kids aren't behaving any better and people are still writing books. That being said, 18 centuries later, the Babylonians conquered the Assyrian capital. Coincidence?? I guess that's for you, the reader to decide.
What about something more recent?
And not just Y2K recent, I'm talking about the Large Hadron Collider that was switched on in September 2008.
For those of you who are unaware, the LHC has the capacity to smash together proton beams at velocities up to 99.99 percent of the speed of light. In doing so, it can simulate the conditions and energies that existed shortly after the start of the Big Bang—thereby providing insights into critical questions as to how our universe was formed.
The main fear with the LHC was that it had the potential to create a Black Hole, swallowing the Earth.
It was shut down after a few days, but the scare was still present in those who understood the risk.
Moral of the story is that our existence on this world will inevitably end. I just hope that it doesn't end with war or bloodshed.

Time to science! :woohoo: And time to add some "Ifs...."
IF the LHC has the potential to create a black hole and IF black holes even exist at all and IF our estimations of their properties are correct a black hole such as that would disintegrate within a few nano seconds
To expand on the ridiculous nature of this scare-mongering point, gravity is extremely weak and a black hole of that size is very.... very... small. Even if it did exists, and persisted to exist for 100,000 years it would maybe absorb one or two protons
Did you know that black holes quite possibly occur naturally each year in atmosphere and inside the earth?! We're still alive though!

Moving on:
I don't know how I know, I just know... Around Dec 12, 2012 02:00 I had a bad feeling about the future(beginning in 2013). It wasn't like a vision or any kind of prophecy. I mean if I had to just come out and say it, I'd say that the "dark side" is now controlling the fate of the planet and it's goal is to bring about total misery.
Vs
I find it interesting that you say that because I've been feeling quite the opposite lately. I feel like this is a time of awakening for humanity, and not the end of the world. The amount of people(primarily the New Age community) performing mass meditations across the world on 12-12-12 was astounding. I was picking up on some pretty potent positive vibes that day.
Which should we believe? I would believe the hypothesis that gave reasonable and rational reasons supported by scientific evidence that can bring about testable, predictable conclusions about the subject
Maybe the first is true. Maybe the second is true. I don't know and I have no reason presented to me for me to believe either. I see two things that are as vaguely unexplained as each other (no offence)
Look at the long laundry list of problems the US has and the even longer list of ingenious solutions put forth... yet not one problem has been solved; and this, to me, is a clue that the will of those who have the power is focused on other things. If you want to swap our time with a different part of history then I challenge you to name one that was better.
Name a part of history where our life spans were longer, our laws more rational and fair, the plebeians having more power, the society being healthier, our minds being more enlightened, our technical feats being greater, our culture being more accepting more tolerant more caring and richer and most certainly when there has been less war and less death than at any point ever.
Please tell me what exactly is so awfully horrific, in comparison to history, about our current lives? And what possible thing you believe could happen to the human race now that would be worse than what has happened previously?

Well as far as I can tell, the problems the US has can be easily solved and the solutions are well-known to the people who have the power to implement them. They're just not implementing them. They have no trouble coming together to pass spying bills and war budgets though. So the problem is not that the US has problems or whether it has more now than in the past, the problem is that the people in power are hell-bent on doing harm rather than good.

I thought it was all the poor people who were to lazy too work that prevented the economy from performing because of a marxist-communist over-bloated welfare budget costing too much to support their lazy arses?
Let's have less of the stereotyping please

I know lots of economic arguments that have as much going for them from their proponents point of views as my arguments do to the contrary of theirs! I do not believe in your simple-solution-that-no-one-is-implementing theory I'm afraid
