Jack nodded, though, admittedly, she did still feel guilty about it every time she received an e-mail encouraging her to sign a petition and then post to facebook to garner more signatures, 'Since you used it to get attention on political and social issues, why'd you close it?'

"Because Mark Zuckerberg is a karking brixer." Was Jack's immediate reply, "And I'll be blasted before I support HIM."

'Ah.' The CMC noted, 'So, avoiding social networks to spite someone for political and personal grudges... Perfectly sane thing to do.'

Jack blinked and considered this.

"Oh god!" She mumbled, the realization occurring to her. Daline gleefully sidled up to her and rested a head on her shoulder.

'Aw, Miss Author! You really DO love me, afterall!'

This.

Well those of us who have been around a while get used to the different ways that particular people write.

You have to remember...in school, they teach you about the different viewpoints in which you can write...first person, second person, third person...

Most of us choose to write in first person, because it seems the easiest to talk about our personal feelings in. We kind of forget that there are other narratives, because we rarely use them.

But what is to say that everyone finds that the easiest or best viewpoint?

Again, most of us talk in very simple terms - we say "this is what I think". But perhaps others might find it harder to just put their thoughts into words like that, and might find it easier to write it through metaphors, or as a piece of fiction...

Do you see? :)

I feel the need to socialize... no I don't! Well, maybe I do? If only there were some kind of social media for me to get on!?!??!?!??!

But do I really want to? I just don't know if I could be social ALL the time!

What ever will I do?

I could join and just check it every once in a while! Yah, that's what I'll do! :D

hahahhahahahhahahha :P

What is this world coming to? Now, if you don't want to use a particular product/service, you are considered a psycopath? Employers will discriminate against you? This is crazy.

Of course we're going with the standard definition of psychopathy being; a particular set of personality traits that includes emotional shallowness, superficial charm, impulsivity with poor judgment, deceitfulness, unreliability, manipulation, and disregard for the feelings of others.

I don't have a FB account...and I've been called weird before....but never a psychopath, haha.

That's a new one, lol.

While it is a joke to some, its just another example if people doing things just because others are...

I joined facebook because I wanted to... none of my family or friends were...

It was a business decision...

That newspaper may be a joke but is very real. And I think it might be true what they say. That employers do not hire people who aren't on facebook. HR people will stalk prospective employee's facebook, and current employees too. That's why I deleted my facebook account and only use facebook for other non-personal things. One of my best friends works for Adobe and did the same because he realized some people knew things they really werent supposed to know. (nothing bad, but you know what i mean. If someone knows what brand of yogurt you buy and that someone doesnt live with you, it can be a bit scary) I have an account just to be admin of the totjo facebook page. My picture isn't even on it.
