Why would it not be ok? Many Jedi have ink done in life as well as the fiction.

Bawk, bawk, bawwka-bawk....
lol, if you like it, you should do it obviously...
I wish we could see what your wife drew... (hint)...
We just had a tat shop open up close to work, so I texted a buddy about the artist... Its the wifes turn, we may go check him out for her next set of ink...
She wants a Goth Tinkerbell sitting in a jestor's jester's hat...
I have a 1/2 Goth, 1/2 normal Tink tattoo on my chest for her... A Babs Bunny for my middle daughter, Ti-double "G"-er for my son, and Tweety for my oldest daughter...
I love tattoos, they are just so expensive...
I'll ask her to draw it on my arm again and take a picture, haha. She SAYS she doesn't like it, but I caught her staring at it when I was half-asleep last night, haha.

Angelus wrote: Having a tattoo myself (there are pictures on Facebook!), I encourage tattoos completely. But i'd issue a warning to all who are keen on getting a tattoo: it is permanent (unless you choose to ATTEMPT its removal, which is more painful and expensive than the tattoo itself, and it's not always guaranteed to work) and it is not something to be undertaken lightly. Especially for our newer members considering getting a Jedi-inspired tattoo. If it has more to do with being a big fan of Star Wars, then by all means, do so. If it is related to the religion, i'd suggest waiting until you've undergone a fairly extensive degree of training. A tattoo for an old religion is much the same as a tattoo for an old lover; it's not something you may want to boast in a few years. Practice the wisdom and patience that we teach here before deciding to get one.
Those are some salient points you've made.
Luckily, if the day ever comes when I don't want to be a Jedi anymore (honestly, quite difficult to conceive of), the term 'Guardian' written in Greek can be looked at as pretty independent of Jediism.
But I get your meaning.

They are more expensive than I thought they would be.
