I was not trying to revive this topic with my last post; I just noticed the total absence of protest save for one person. Again, there's no use beating a dead dog.

If anyone does get a chance to go to one of their services / meetings and if they don't mind a video would be most enlightening. If not just telling what went on would be interesting.

I don't mean start an argument that \"we are more open than you\" but our sermons are public and our services are open to anyone with a valid email address. This is the only way to prevent relentless SPAM but hardly a hindrance since a throw away email address if almost effortless.

As for this topic stick a fork in it; it's done.

I don't know about the TOTJO, but over at the Church of Jediism, we accept ALL people of ALL beliefs, ALL nationalities, ALL races and ALL sexualities. We do not discriminate or 'pick and choose' who is allowed to join our organisation.

What ever people think and feel about Daniel and Baral you can still act like a Jedi when conducting in a thread reguarding such.

As a Patriarch, Bishop and Vice President of this Order as well as an Admin, Fr.Jon has every right to request that people stop being abusive. It is after all in our FAQ under \"rules\". This forum is intended for discussion and connection, not for throwing mud around. We need to moderate the content of this forum and make no apology for that.

As for that picture, 2 seconds on Google will pull up other pictures of Barney Jones - the one that ren posted IS Barney. He was a founder member of the CoJ (although apparently not a member now) and Daniel Jones' brother. There are pictures and articles of him around the internet in Jedi robes so you can imagine what people think of Jedis when they see the sort of picture posted above.

Quite simply, we do not agree with CoJ policies and they do not seem to agree with us either. But anything that affects the public perception of Jediism concerns us all. Being thrown out of Tescos for breaking regulations is just one of the things that the public laugh at us for. We're all trying to do our bit to show that Jediism is a respectable faith/following. Stupid tit-for-tat behaviour doesn't help.

Please avoid making assumptions about me, the way I act or the way I look. I don't make any about you, I don't comment on the way you may look, and I don't criticize the way you regularly express your feelings about things which aren't even linked to Jediism, such as your relationship with your husband, on Jedi forums.
I never expected other people to treat me better than I treat them but do not expect them to treat me worse either.


The picture is, as indicated, that of Barney Morgan Jones, the UK church's co-founder. An image that is related to this thread, unaccompanied by inappropriate comments, suggestions, or judgement of the aforementioned person's physical appearance or gestures.



Perhaps, in the future, you should avoid telling people who were on the Jedi path for many years how a Jedi acts.

As Master Mark has pointed out I am an admin here and with the other admins am also responsible for quality imput here, free from abusive language or guestures which contributes nothing constructive to the matter at hand. You will find very few web sites on the net who will tolerate this. So, Sammy, if you expect me to keep quiet about this you will be bitterly disappointed. I will not shut up and you can bet your boots I will intervene. I will not let this place or anyone associated with it be draged into the dirt. If you don`t like it then maybe you are at the wrong place.
