I dont like the word tolerance , i like the word acceptance , if you accept how someone is , then you can determine a lot easier is if you should tolerate them or not

I'd view the word to mean an awareness of something in relation to ones limits, so yea tolerating someone does tell oneself something about themselves - but our reaction to someone is not always going to be the same as their intention, perception or experience of whatever it is being tolerated. So I like the idea of using it as a measure for self discipline rather then judgement and reaction, as once I go there its not really tolerance anymore for me I don't think

I think the word tolerance holds a judgement in itself , its not accepting , people misuse the word tolerate all the time to express the need to be inclusive whilst not including at all like
" I know you smell but i tolerate it , i tolerate you , i dont really want you around but i tolerate you "
