It won't let me have a blank signature ...
Fictional Teachers was created by Edan
Was thinking about characters from fiction that I consider to have been my 'teachers' to some degree.
A few of mine would be
Dweia ('Redemption of Althalus')
Gandalf ('Lord of the Rings')
Orpheus ('The Matrix')
Superman (from all the comics I read as a teenager)
Who are yours?

I love this idea.
Some of the greatest influences in our lives are fictional, after all.
For me, I'd have to say:
Plo Koon (Star Wars) taught me to love life in all it's forms and to give your love to all those you meet.
Ahsoka Tano (Star Wars again.
) taught me to never stop fighting for what is right, no matter who thinks you're wrong.
Hatake Kakashi (Naruto Shippuden) taught me to never abandon those you call friend, even when they've abandoned you.
Gavin Guile (Lightbringer Saga) to always do your best, despite your flaws.
Krillin (Dragon Ball Z) again, to always do your best despite your flaws, but also to never ever give up despite crushing odds.
and finally Brom (Inheritance Cycle), who taught me that a broken heart can be healed and used for good, no matter how crushing it may seem.
was a fun exercise in thinking over exactly what they've taught me in life, how its formed me as a person.

I don't think there's a fictional character I haven't haven't learned from, lol...
Laura Ingalls (from the show, not the real books): love simplicity
Adric one of the Doctor's companions from back in the day: the dangers of conceit
Paul Muad-Dib Atreides: allowing one's own greatness
Pretty much any "young adult" book character ever: the importance of communication
I could just go on and on and on. I've spent noticeably more time with fictional folk than real life one's.

Too many to mention, but a handful which spring immediately to mind:
Torak and Wolf, and more than that their relationship from the Chronicles of Ancient Darkness series
Joe Haak from Not Forgetting The Whale
Fiver from Watership Down
Moominpapa and Snufkin from the Moomin books
Death from The Sandman

Jean Luc Picard
Qui-Gon Jinn
Rebels Ahsoka Tano
There's more but I think these three would be perfect for a start!

I share an idea called the all myth ... Regardless of credit ... Who gets it or " deserves" not my cup to give those any more ... I practice this. This leaves no word for fiction or not , example is often a coin word.
I have many examples of many things I actually use ...
" fictional"
Prometheus and the fire the love and devotion to know the end result and do it any way ... The price , the sacrifice for others . Religious true false myth ...this one thing to me ... There is no greater love that can ever be given to be willing to sacrifice so other can gain. Dude I have plenty of examples or teachers avalible!
All common leaders sit in my "circle" in my mind and remind me of examples and applications possible.
Any God of war. My fav is Indra which is primarily a Hindu god.
From war from chaos and heat comes the net the view of connection to everything. The killer and slayer sees the connection and guard it .... Wow . Can u make peace with a God of war? Yup I did!
That's just a few thanks for the question !

For myself, The Doctor, Old and New. To me, The Doctor, as a concept, was synchronous to that of a being seeking the path of Enlightenment, going through "12 Cycles", dealing with "Reincarnation/Regeneration", seeking to do that which was noble, and deem-ably "good", but also willing to take the darker side of actions when all other options were either exhausted, or didn't bring as "Positive" of a result, as opposed to doing what seemed right at first.

Oh yes; Sarah Crewe and Mary Lennox and ... uhm... the boy Sarah and Colin brought to the garden... Who found the courage to try despite being told his whole life that he couldn't do a thing...
