For me it spoke to not being blinded by desire. Instead to try new things by looking around at what the world is here and now - not trying to hold out for something it might become.

So for me its less about abandoning of planning per se, and more about the insidious nature of how old paradigms might be placing restrictions on real potentials and opportunities that might be right in front of you. As often this occurs without even noticing, such as if they are the desire to find the 'one' passion, or 'one' true love, or even if you've found a passion that might be unrealistic it can blind through tunnel vision.
