There is always room for forgiveness but forgetting is another matter. That will take time and great effort on your part. I hope you are up to the task my friend. So what changed your mind about his "teachings"? Last time we spoke you practically considered him a God, so why this seemingly radical change of heart? Surely it was not just your banning here was it?

I suggest we take these very personal matters to pm ;) Silas has taken a risky first step and the rest is speculation

Silas, we're Jedi, I believe that forgiveness, compassion, and mercy are core components of being a Jedi. However, I have no desire to see you wreak havoc across this community once again. Compassion and mercy are tempered with Justice, do not attempt to abuse the privilege that compassion has granted you or else justice will see you gone again.

I would love nothing more than to see you change, I was skeptical of your banning from the beginning. I have always recognized great passion in you and an overall desire to do good. But I have also seen a willingness to do terrible things in the name of your own opinion over others which is not something I can abide. In a conversation with another I once said that I hoped that we would both still be around in ten years so that I could show you what you've said now and see you laugh at it. I truly believe that will be what happens.

As has been said sorry is only a word. It will take action on your part to earn our trust again. You have also said sorry before and changed nothing so many here will remain skeptical of you. You will be under a microscope now so be weary of what you do, but you must do. You have said that you now want to STFU and finish the IP. I highly recommend the later, but not the former. Inaction will solve nothing, only action will. Careful action, but action. Participate, discuss, just no references to assassinations, global domination, hero worship of cruel dictators, or hate speech against ANY group of people.

Most importantly though, remember that another key maxim of the Jedi path is honesty. You must truly mean what you say and practice it every day. If you say you're changing show us and mean it. We may never really know what you are like on the other side of that screen but your time here will be meaningless if it's dishonest, and that would be the saddest thing of all.

Welcome back Silas.

Either way - my PM box is available. But I would think this more a matter that needs a public record, especially with Silas's history here. In any case, I'm not demanding an answer, or asking for gory details, just asking if he is willing to go a bit deeper, give some sort of revelation he has had or lesson he has learned about any of his actions here. I think it would go a lot further than just once again giving a sheepish apology with head hung low and toe tracing circles in the dirt. Anyone can pretend to be sorry but to give disclosure to an underlying experience that brought about that change of heart seems more substantial. That's just me though.

I see alot of folks stating "Change! Change! Change!"

I feel the need to speak up against this particular outcry.

As Jedi I feel it is not our job to encourage and seek others to "Change" We are not missionaries trying to convert people to our methodologies and ways of opinion.

Silas here. Does not need to change.

But he could stand to LEARN new methods to his approach in communication and action.

If he wishes to believe, respect and even devotly follow Relan Volkum. He has every right to do so without any change what so ever.

However. He could always learn from his banning and develop a better approach towards his convictions.

Just my 2 cents.

As to the apology. I will be the a** hole here and make it known that Ido not accept it. Apologies are wasteful and attention seeking. I will however gladly accept and welcome future, positive, progressive action. Should you choose to apply them truthfully and willingly. Silas.

Good Luck in your Initiates training.

All things change. All life forms learn, grow and change because of it. :)

Those that do not grow or learn or change are stagnate and spend their days wondering why things aren’t the way they were.

No person should tell another what to change in to. Or how what they believe you should learn should change you a particular way. And certainly not how to grow; how fast to grow or what kind of growth you should have. ;)
All of these things are part of your journey.B)

Being allowed back is forgiveness. So don’t worry about it. :cheer:
Dwelling on past events is not a part of our teachings at TotJO. :pinch: :lol:

Let’s focus on what is and move forward.
