Does Britain still seek membership in a strong union?

That happens every election year though. I remember in 2012 my parent's were contemplating moving to Texas because they were among the numerous states that had petitions circulating asking to leave the US. Nothing came of it though.

I support our country because I have several awesome (awesome awesome awesome) people that I know and admire the hell out of for being members of our armed forces, but as far as policies and approaches to almost everything else, ugh. Where does one even start? We are the most arrogant thing since... I can't even think of a thing to finish that sentence with.

I would not say that supporting our military requires the support of our country...

I know a lot of people get disgruntled about the current state of politics in America, but I don't see a bunch of people leaving either. There certainly won't be any states seceding anytime soon, that's for sure.
It's easy to think that everything sucks here, until you look at the other side of the fence. The grass ain't much greener. In fact, we see more people trying to get in than trying to leave.

Offered the funds to escape, I think you'd be surprised how many would take it. For me it's only ever been a matter of funding until VERY recently, when I've made some friends that it would break my heart to leave behind.
I think a lot of what we see of people staying (anywhere really, not just here) is a matter of personal ties instead of political ones.
