Through strength and knowledge I gain victory
Through victory I gain peace and harmony

I asked this question looking for peers and mentors of a similar background. Whenever I try to confide in older black women that I know, I'm given a Bible verse. I want to talk to other people who know what it's like for their hair to be called unprofessional. I want to talk to people who understand the message in Beyonce's songs, who felt the same feelings I did when Obama was elected, who have had known people who were killed in the street for not much more than walking.
These things can't be purged from my spirituality.

If you mean African-Americans by the term black, then would you like me to change the heading to Any African-American Jedi Here?

Consider black people aren't a minority in Africa for example, though granted I'm not sure how many members we have in Africa right now!!!!! I feel like a minority quite often but I guess it's for personal reasons which don't even attribute to any group!

Could you change the heading to non-white jedi please. In the last post, I was just trying emphasize why I felt finding non-white members was important for me. I'm sure Latino and Asian users would want to connect with people who had similar experiences to them as well.

To be fair, African American only relates to those in America... if the OP was looking for those in any country it would exclude them and possible cause even more confusion!
It won't let me have a blank signature ...

I know, but the term was used in the most recent reply to my post so I used that as the likely intention..... and was wrong

I'm Latino. I white-pass because of my father.
Race and culture can be an essential part of one's identity, especially if one generally feels other as a consequence of race. They don't simply go away.
Good to meet you.
