My friend. When conducting a conversation online...in a forum system....it is prudent to follow core rules in order to engage in a conversation. Much the same as talking to someone in real life.

You asked people if they remembered the Berenstein Bears. Your first misstake was assuming that people instantly understood that you were refering to the spelling of the Berenstein Bears and it's related propaganda of some Mandela Effect (Which I have never heard of or about until now.)

Your second misstake was in getting offended that people didn't understand your assumptions and, after tossing two links, expected people to instantly engage in some philosophical discussion about it...

Is this how you engage conversation in real life? Person?

Instead perhaps...Had you of started out with the Mandela Effect and referenced the Berenstein bears and Asked us if we knew about or had thoughts towards the theory.....You may of had a better response from everyone :)

Throwing the blame on us is a bit unfair....don't you think?

I am not "throwing the blame" on you.... it's equal parts. Yes, my original question was perhaps misleading. My follow up reply should have corrected everything. Instead I was chastised for being short with someone. And yes, I do talk to people like this in real life- it makes for a great sifter, and thus avoiding the Time Warner Cable of People, who, while are me and I them, I have no desire to interact with at this stage of my journey. To do otherwise suggests this is the next logical step:

Day after day
Alone on a hill
The man with the foolish grin
Is keeping perfectly still
But nobody wants to know him
They can see that he's just a fool
And he never gives an answer

But the fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning round

Well on the way
Head in a cloud
The man of a thousand voices
Talking perfectly loud

But nobody ever hears him
Or the sound he appears to make
And he never seems to notice

But the fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning round

And nobody seems to like him
They can tell what he wants to do
And he never shows his feelings

But the fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning round, oh oh oh, round round round round

He never listens to them
He knows that they're the fools
They don't like him

The fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning round

Oh, round round round round, oh

Had I followed your suggestion, I would have tampered with the results. SCIENTIFIC. METHOD.

As suggested earlier the SCIENTIFIC METHOD is wasted on me! :woohoo: ;) It's a joke. Let this go away and fade into the bowels of forum.

I think this gets to the core of the problem. Pardon me for sounding like a Moderator, which I am not, however I don't feel these forums are the appropriate place to be conducting scientific social experiments, as their very nature necessitates a certain amount of obfuscation, at the least, and deception and manipulation at the worst. I have no problem with you BryanJerome, sometimes we all approach things without completely examining how our approach could pan out poorly, and I am sorry if the responses make you feel the Temple may not be right for you. That would be a shame. Still, I just felt the improper nature of conducting an experiment on others on the forums without their foreknowledge is not in accord with the spirit of the doctrine.

*getting off my soapbox now.*

The Scientific Method is only one way to know stuff ... and it depends on the stuff one wants to know.

My train of thought was;
1. tupolev
2. humphrey b
3. momma, pappa and baby bear.

Then I read the actual post, and had never heard of the target book, sorry. B)

I was drawing some small pieces of art, and after a hour or 2, two whole pages are full with posts.. wonderful..

I would like to say that I do not feel offended, BryanJerome. I do understand that you want to talk about the Mandela effect. But now I ask, did you ask about the Mandela effect, or did you demonstrate the Mandela effect?

Wonderful thread, wonderful posts.. Wondering about what would come..
