A question about bears?
BryanJerome wrote: Not offended at all.... Sorry if I came off as such. Just.... curious. The topic has been somewhat problematic for me of late. I have the book. Copyright 1974. Your reply, therefore, offered nothing I didn't already have. I'm asking for you to remember.... not recite.

Actually you did ask me to recite, maby unconsciously, I think it came trough the words :,,Who were the authors? Jan and Stan Beren.... something''
Asking about the authors, and the ' .... something' in combination with the 'A question about bears?' topic title part makes it quite like a question. It is quite hard when you read the post for the first time and see that is not an question.. The only way I could have know that it was an non-question was at the moment that you did mention both the first names.. But I read over things quite easy. I did read it though, but not asking that simple question: ,,is it a question?''. Sadly I am not familiar with American and English writers, so I can not share your passion like you do. But I really like to search things I do not know..
Questions like answers, that I gave. Nothing personal..
However, I want to thank you for expanding my knowledge about writers.

He knows what the book is called. And, he knows who the authors are. He purposefully didn't give the information because he wanted us to "remember" the books on their own merit and recall the experience of reading them.
To answer your question, Bryan, I have never read any of the books. But, I did watch the television show when I was a kid.It was a lovely series. Dealt with some cool stuff.
Yes sir...
Its apparent now...

Bryan, until your intention was laid out, it appeared as Aqua saw it...
Aqua is also not a native English speaker... If I remember right..
Assumptions cause quite a conundrum, don't they?

You do have a good memory, really like that

Correct, I am from the small, flat and dry bottom of the sea.. known as the Netherlands. I am not as good in speaking English.. but I do share the love for your native language. I learn it every day, but some things I can not learn easy, word play for example. Due to that problem I read almost every word as if it is actually pure.. Gives some problems every now en then

Can someone now proceed to answering the question?
What do you REMEMBER the names of the authors to be?

Of course, when I was a kid, the only bear I took interest in was Pooh.

What do you mean? The show was called the Berenstain Bears, if I recall.
