I think my Einstein quote still applies. We were all born of stardust, as far as our current understanding goes. One day we will break down and renew the cycle of life. In that sense, the "flame" never goes out. We are all part of the mass and energy in the universe and will one day return. It's hard to see because it is so much greater than ourselves.

Maybe you're asking about our conscious selves. No idea there!

I don't see science and religion as disparate. Experimentation can certainly reinforce things we "accept to be true" - or open our eyes to things we've had wrong all along. Either result is a positive in my book!

Unfortunately I've found a few avenues of belief which seem to resonate with a timeless (beyond death) tone, but it would feel foolish to try and see which one last's the longest or goes the farthest in pursuit of one truth - when to do so would divorce oneself from the imminent reality that is 'manifest'

A good baseline is of course science, but it might not have all the answers and the imagination is a powerful thing :blink:

So if you blow the candle out your probably just drowning the flame, which from the point of view of the candle could be like time speeding up perhaps!? Or everything else slowing down and 'ceasing'.

Of course nobody knows. I'm just asking for what peoples opinions and beliefs are for discussion.

Of course life after death is all probability's . I think there enough movies , book and after life experiences that reveal some existence of life , light or a tunnel .

People speak about eternal life , mortality , immortality legend's , hermit's etc... And I mean in spirituality in the sense of eternal flame . the thing , life is some up by existence and not construction a light . but a light bulb yes but light it self .
