Very nice quote but what about the flame? Blown out is blown out, dawn or not.

I don't know if you're looking for a scientific answer or not...
I could explain how fire works, if you like. but, it's a fairly easy google search.

Mind the way we talk about fire as if a flame is a "thing", when it's actually not. Fire is a state of combustion in which the molecules in an area are just behaving differently than how they would otherwise. Because of this, I think (though I could be inaccurate about this) that when a flame is blown out. it's simply that the molecules in that area of space are reverting their behavior and are no longer "combusting" in place.
“For it is easy to criticize and break down the spirit of others, but to know yourself takes a lifetime.”

I would have to say that the "flame itself", which is really just a reaction of gas, just stops. It doesn't "go" anywhere. However, the energy that caused the flame is converted into other energy performing a different task.
I would go as far as to say that technically nothing ever disappears or stops, the energy that created it merely moves on to its next task. When you turn out a light does the light "go" somewhere? No, the electricity is only redirected somewhere else, causing the emission of heat an light to cease.

Of course not!
I'm seldom looking for science in a religious/spritual discussion.
I'm looking for more philosophical/spiritual discussion.
but I kew some would answere it that way

I guess I could have assumed from context clues... but, I hate making assumptions when I don't have to.
Honestly, I don't see how the flame relates to spirituality... At least, not my spirituality. So, I can't answer it!
