Djedi, Dedi, D'jedi - What do you know about these terms?

There is a group called the D'jedi templar.
http://www.djeditemplar.us/

I have heard them call themselves the real "jedi". They go to raves and festivals. They bring white tents. and I hear they focus on healing arts. They are denoted by a "cosmic Key" pendent that looks like a ladder.

I have ready about the Being that use to resurrect people.
And I have read that the term is Egyptian and means "human - divine consciousness".

Is it possible that is this is the actual origins of the Star Wars "Jedi"?

George Lucas says no, but linguistic similarities like that can be fun.

With just a glance at the site, they make very pretty things. They also seem to have gotten the Jedi mobile tent village thing very, very right. Lovely!

There is a lot of momentum behind the group - D'jedi templars. they are going to a lot of Festivals. i see the "cosmic key" around more than I would think for such a new group.

I'm pretty sure there was a thread about this before. Might be worth searching for it.

It won't let me have a blank signature ...

I love it, personally. Hell I'd join them if I wasn't stuck here in school.

It did. Linguistically unrelated, and probably a wholly different kind of organization to what you're seeking, as the language of the headers on this page (and the nature of the word "Djedi") seem to hint at a fusion of art installation, watered-down high magick of a faux-Egyptian bent, and a lot of hippie-talk.

Thank you for this link. Yes, that is what I am asking about. What are the linguistic roots of the word Jedi and does it have any connection to the word D'jedi.

I will read through that thread.

And its possible, we might want to prepare a response to people asking us - this community - if we are connected to the D'jedi templars, lol.

Sure, but the tents are pretty cool. In warmer months, that would be a great setup.

An entire palette. Surely you people don't think that Jediism is the only thing I'm an elitist about.
