Truly my best defence are my actions. What others see me do. A seed is tree is by the fruits it gives. Not saying that by actions we are made but by how we react to things. Fire proofs many things and sends it to its simplest form. Life in a sence does this to many of us. I find that if I stay in simplest form already aka ... Me as a Jedi , I can do anything if I rely on what I have learned. Its the same way with others and how they believe. Many people defend because they have that fighting spirit still in them. Life and meditation has helped me to remove this. This thought of what others think and the defensive has passed. Its possible. My Jedi father has fought me this. Many men I know I have attained the same result from their faith in the Christ or transental meditation. The result is the same but the paths were different.
