I know that in america the govt has the legal ability to arrest people indefinitely on the alleged suspision of being affiliated or of having been affiliated with terrorists or people or oganizations which have engaged in "hostilities against the u.s. or its coalition partners"

as well as "anyone who commits a "belligerant act" against the u.s. or its allies in aid of such enemy forces"

the implications of the language are pretty frightening

also stuff like phillip morris or monsanto

i feel like its the people who are most likely to abuse power which seem to be the most effecive at aquiring it


and i kind of felt like what the pope really said waz "dont make fun of MY religion"
but that could just be my own self reflection
