Of course, it also implies how dangerous holding something sacred could be...people like that are easy to manipulate into all kinds of horrors...

Wow, sacred...the absolute rightness, justification at first for self sacrifice for a greater good...but eventually, ANY sacrifice if that intensity overshadows coherent thought...
Making keeping things sacred...anti-jedi? Training oneself to think outside of reason? Training oneself to ignore conflicting data? Allowing inconsistency to uphold the sanctity we hold so dear?

I forgot to answer the thread in my earlier response, but in the context of that earlier reply, I think I try to hold sacred anything which I seem to have power over... plants, insects, some animals.... sometimes even inert matter. Anything else I try to relate on equal terms.
