We had a member of my home site(Order of the Sith) die from a brain tumor. He let us know and then said his goodbye, and then, when he passed, his wife let us know as he desired.

Then, the Sith Academy created this in his honor.

Quite unexpected, but I find it a nice gesture.

We gave our condolences to his wife, and keep his writings/teachings/lectures alive within the academy, as they are, essentially his legacy within the communities.

Are you making an honest sincere post, with a video (o how nice of you) or are you taken advantage of promoting your sith BS at this religions community? Take your sith some place else. It doesn't belong here.

Sorry to here about your friend.

I think your full of self promoting po po at the expense of others

I will admit that I don’t understand the Sith mindset/religion but I’m sure it was a nice gesture and well received in the community. :)

This was actually the first time Id ever seen the SA do something that reminded me that they are just people too. Trying to figure out their own way, even if it does look like total BS from the outside.

Khaos is not doing anything to promote the Sith views, only telling a story...

No, not promoting any Sith views at all here. In fact, it was odd, given we dont discuss, or affiliate, or communicate with the SA that they did this at all.

We banned them from our site.

Still, I thought it was pertinent to the subject, which is why I posted, apparently that was a mistake.

Also, it is not a religion, and I suppose I lied, a I am a Sith, and I communicate here, but I dont feel as if I have ever pressed a "Sith" view. It doesnt quite work like that.

Im not even sure why you have uch hostility Rickie. I always post sincerely, so your insult is a bit strange.

I wonder how long I would last if I were to post in such a way. though I already know the answer.

Interesting though, your response, perhaps you should think on why my post brought that out in you.

So, I am trying to look at this from your perspective Khaos, however I personally do not see how this is not promoting your Sith Teachings. The premise of this thread, is what to do with our online accounts. Should they be shut down, or kept up, and would there be any information sent out to your online accounts of a person's passings. I understand telling your story about what happened on y our own site, and how his wife informed everyone of the passing. That you archived his teachings, so that it would still exist and people could "learn" from them. However, I watched the video. I saw nothing in that about the person, except at the very end, where it showed his name. The rest was filled with Sith teachings, in the language of "Borgal" (The Black Tongue), correct me if I am wrong, however I do not believe I am wrong about the language. Also, I do not know what main fundamental teachings are between the two groups, but still, the main premise of my point it is undeniable.

Well, for one, no teachings were promoted.

The premise of this thread, is what to do with our online accounts. Should they be shut down, or kept up, and would there be any information sent out to your online accounts of a person's passings.

To which I answered, as this was exactly the situation....Are you confused in some way?

However, I watched the video. I saw nothing in that about the person, except at the very end, where it showed his name. The rest was filled with Sith teachings, in the language of "Borgal" (The Black Tongue), correct me if I am wrong, however I do not believe I am wrong about the language. Also, I do not know what main fundamental teachings are between the two groups, but still, the main premise of my point it is undeniable.

It was a eulogy, which doesn mention the persons name throughout either. As fo the language....I honestly had no idea it was an actual language. The Black Tongue? Ill look it up, but I thought it was stolen from KOTOR 2 ( Darth Nihilis voice). As for that being a Sith teaching, none that I have ever read and I wouldnt be surprised if it was stolen from some book.

Your point is absolutely undeniable because as you say, you dont know what the fundamental teachings are, and im not sure what would be getting taught.....Did you learn anything? I really didnt read into it that deep. Suffice if you dont know what the teachings are, you cant really comment on if it was one way or the other.

In any case I thought it interesting to post the video because it illustrates an online funeral. Something that your friends might do for you, but there are other ideas. However, funerals, death, etc, have been in other threads as well and it all ties together.

So, while I also answered your question I put up another way you might be remembered within cyber space.

You know, if a Jedi posted something with a video of "Jedi Teachings" at my site, I would not act this way. Hell, I wouldnt act this way even if it was an attempt to promote Jedi teachings.

Still, take it as you will.
