(Internet) life after death

So, I'm curious...

Do you any of you have plans for what will happen to your 'digital life' after your death?

I know there are services like the ones here..
However, if you used say "Dead Man's Switch", you might get ill and not be able to verify you're still alive, in which case the service eventually thinks you're dead and so will everyone else (even when you're not).

I have no plans (currently)... if I died tomorrow none of you would know for sure unless it was in some horrible accident and a UK member happened to recognise me on the news.

I'm thinking though, having quite a few good friends here, perhaps I should think about it... even if it's just instructions that upon my death someone email Jestor that death has revoked my membership :P

It won't let me have a blank signature ...

This is an interesting concept. I honestly didn't plan for that.

It does remind me of a Green Arrow comic (yes I'm going comic book on this) where he had someone who, upon Oliver Queen's death, was to go through his Green Arrow stuff and destroy it so that there would be no way to posthumously uncover his secret. Funnily enough the writer got the idea after overhearing a conversation about a guy and his 'porn plan.' He had a friend who was supposed to destroy his porn stash when he died. lol

Eh. I don't see a reason to get rid of it. Like saying "Burn my Journal". Heck, I might even set up a bot to update my pages and randomly respond to emails.

I've thought about it. I've been thinking of putting it in my Will (that I should have and don't haha). Including web addresses, user names, and passwords (although passwords change). But my husband knows most of the various passwords I use and the websites I go to anyways. Some people I don't have contact with outside of the websites and I'd hate to just disappear on them.

A friend of mine died several years ago and his parents continued to update his Facebook page for a while, mostly as a means to communicate with all of his friends that they might not have been able to contact otherwise. It was a little unsettling at first, but in the end I really liked that they did that.

If I were to kill off, I would like for Council to know about it. They could change my rank bar to say something like, “Died off.” And maybe put a picture of a rat caught in a trap for my Avatar. That sounds about fitting for me. :P

I have a list of accounts, log ons and passwords so my daughter can pick up and take care of business. And my will does currently leave it all to her and her care.

I Don’t do anything that I don’t want anyone to know about, so I really don’t care what happens to my internet history when I kill over. I just want the loved ones in my life taken care of. ;)

My son has my password info, and instructions to let you all know if I go...

If you look up "stevef" in the totjo members, he was a Master here, who preformed one of, in not the, first Jedi/totjo marriages...

His brother logged on here, and informed us that Master Stevef had passed...

At that point, I made arrangements... At least here, lol, as I am always here...
