(Internet) life after death
You know how many folks wonder when someone disappears?
Where is KeithMewes, Tiamat, JasperWard, and its a long list of people....
If I died, and no one was informed, how many wonder whether I just found a new "calling" or what?
There are several Jedi sites I belong to... This is the only one I'd notify...
In your last sabbatical, I believe I messaged you, didn't I?
Had you not returned, I would have wondered on whether someone irritated you enough to not come back, whether you gave up on visiting us, or what....
Just my opinion...

Why bother? Why not let that (those) life go it's natural course like our bodies?
I think I'd want someone to tell you guys. If someone didn't get on here to let you know you never would. I haven't been here very long and so I haven't gotten to be very close with anyone in particular here, but I've grown fond enough of the community as a whole that I wouldn't want to just disappear on you.
I don't think I need anyone to do anything with my accounts or 'clean up' in any way, just let people know who wouldn't otherwise.

I was ass-suming most had an internet/virtual life that covered a lot of ground beyond a circle of friends just as we have close friends, distant friends and acquantences.
I'm thinking the orginional question was about preserving everything for posterity.

Gotcha. Makes sense. Like I said then, I wouldn't want anyone to clean anything up or keep up my accounts, just let you know I was one with the Force again.

Yea, honestly, I have no history to clear either...
My wife, not understanding my journey here, wouldn't let you guys know, I don't think...
So I tasked my son with the duty... He has an account here now, so, its different...

... and I would as you guys to all be there for him, because he wouldn't like that very much.

Then again, that wallet-card is a pretty good idea. Then again, we would have to hope that I would have a wallet on me when my hour arrives. :S

Tiamat has found Druidism more to her liking, I've attempted tries at getting her to come back but I have to respect her choice so I quit asking...
