It Would be Nice....

The issue I have with being in chat is that normally when I'm online I'm answering PMs and reading the forum, something I can do in quiet moments in between working.

If I'm going to spend time in chat to talk and connect with people, then I want to be able to give that, and the people I'm hanging out with, my full attention. Be fully present. I don't want it to just be yet another tab I have open that I check in on every now and then.

I feel bad enough being logged onto skype when I cant dedicate my attention to it, but that is unavoidable. And thats what the "busy" flag is for.

Well how about a thread that says "I'm in chat."?

Anytime a post hits it goes to the top of latest posts, people will see it and go to chat, hopefully. You should wait a while for people to show up. I wouldn't expect a immediate response? It may take time for people

Telling by all the Thank Yous it seems lots of people would like to see a more active chat room. Its pretty obvious that if you're going to log in while answer PMs or replying to forums you could simply keep the chat room open on another tab.

How ever whats not that obvious is that before you close the tab/window click the LOGOUT button. For what ever reason if you're the last person in chat and you simply close the tab/window it still says you're logged into chat. Please press the logout button before you leave the chat room. :dry:

I did that in this thread on page two, and it was short lived...

I too miss the chat...

Rickie, if everytime you are in chat, you post, and bump it every ten minutes, you might get someone..

I find chat hard to follow, and prefer one on one exchanges...

I liken it to going to the bar and everyone trying to talk and follow what everyone else is saying all at once, so, I seldom go in there, to be honest... Ceremonies when I am able...
