I've been avoiding this topic on purpose since I feel I am usually a regular presence in chat (for my timezone) but I do agree, from a new persons point of view.

I've noticed that if you close the chat window without logging out first, it'll say you're still logged in for some time until the system logs you out as a "timeout".

Or you could do what I did and minimize the window, completely forget you have the Temple chat open, and then go to bed only to wake up to an early morning conversation (or at least it was early morning here in Midwest US). :silly:

Ok ladies and gentlemen,
You have probably heard me say something like "the chat needs to be used more often" in another post, but now its no longer a matter of (my) preference, but also a matter of community and connection. The sense of community is certainly not what it used to be a few years ago when all we had was the chat. We NEED that ladies and gentlemen. We need that sense of community and connection if we are going to BE a community. So, use the chat.
Whenever you are at the temple, just pop in. It opens in another window so you dont have to worry about losing your work and you can shut off the sound.

Used the chat today for the first time (not counting sermons and ceremonies) and it was, while rather empty, very fun. I will be making it a more regular habit for sure. The only thing I have to work around is that I tend to have the temple site up in the background while at work so I may appear to go inactive for chunks of time when I'm with clients.

But yeah, go chat.

I'm alone in the chat. hahah. I count 25 members online!
