I don't know much about it... Sharia is the base structure of Islam and I have no idea what's going on in uk...

First. right and wrong are always opinions. Being a Knight you should know that.
Second. It is quite common in Jedi circles for "all are equal before the law" to be seen as "right", and for double standards to be seen as "wrong".
Third. My comment regarded muslims in the UK. Considering that some of my best friends and business partners are muslims, that I live next to a city (in the UK) with a large muslim community and sharia courts, I, unlike you, actually know what I'm talking about.

I don't exactly know how scholars view it, but in Bukhari the Prophet sent out messengers to world rulers kindly "inviting" them to surrender to Allah, to embrace Islam so that they be safe. Now I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and not assume that the last bit is a threat in the original text as much as it seems from the translation I found, however, I'll leave it at the detail that the Qur'an itself is not above continuously and repetitively threatening the unbelievers and wrongdoers, encourages the faithful to spread tidings of the doom that awaits the disbelievers and of course encourages and insistingly justifies forceful interaction between the followers of Allah and everybody else.
Neither is it above insulting at least what seems to be the Jews, although it would also apply to Christians, I guess - apparently those are wretched and much like asses carrying books. That being said, it may be that the word of god is not to be repeated by humans although that begs a few questions about the origins of the book, its authors capricious mindset and his messenger's disobedience of that unwritten law.

Admittedly, it is true that the Qur'an says that religion is a personal matter and that one ought to let everyone believe as they do on three occasions without adding any limitation to that statement, but on a total of fifteen other ones it also says that disbelievers are not loved by Allah, will be tormented forever, are enemies of believers and will be shunned and killed by believers. But I agree, technically it doesn't tell you what you have to believe.

On a side note, Analyze, how exactly do you reconcile your perception of Islam with what its scriptures and scholars say and why do you presume that we have no way of investigating those sources and must instead rely on news media which are hardly ever addressing the actual muslim faith and not even making a secret out of that?

we should all know not to take the old books that used to teach us, word for word, that is why we have priests, to interpret them for us with new definitions of the words used, in older times : )

Yes im new to chatting to random strangers, on the internet LOL this it the first time i have ever used a forum i hope you will help me with the format : )

I have always stayed within my group of friends, that i have known most of my life, and never type or have had any need to send more than a short e mail : )
