What is TotJO's view on the people who are LGBT? I ask this because recently I came out as transgender and want to know my religion's views on this subject.

I'm gay and have many lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender friends at TotJO. :)

My experience at the temple over the past year has been that I and others on different areas of the gender and sexuality spectrum(s) are fully accepted and embraced.

Being who you are in this community does not limit you in any way, and I hope you'll find that you are treated with respect and kindness and appreciated for your openness and honesty.

If we had something against non-hetero sexual preference, many of the people in positions of responsibility at the Temple would have to resign - including myself. ;)

I'm your average hetero-normative male-identifying person, and I believe (as Brenna said) the doctrine is very clear. We do not discriminate. People are people.

If only it were that easy across the board. haha.
