Oh, my bad. You didn't 'miss' anything, I added them afterwards for that post. Making the same point though.

Alethea Thompson wrote: So nothing physical? I mean, the college (which I should have specified) is brick and mortar- no one would have like a Martial Arts class (or even lightsabers- not that it would be my cup of tea, but it's there)?

Personally...no.

I would have them (martial arts etc, not lightsabers) on offer as an extra-curricular activity/club. Along with basketball, gardening, tiddlywinks and other such things ;) But I wouldn't offer any of that stuff as a module/class in Jediism.

If I devised a course it would probably be similar to what we do here. As in - there would be a foundation level that everyone takes, like the Initiates Programme but obviously much bigger. Then there would be the opportunity to pick areas of interest & specialism in later years. Specialisms would be things like Ministry, Diplomacy, Research, Teaching, etc

I'd cycle through all the following at equivalent level's, as increasing levels of difficulty. The trick would be making them all connect within each level to each other as representations of the Force

In that normal 'subjects' dissolve across those layers and become interconnected, in theory.

There are a lot more I would want, but I think that some of those (such as Psychology degrees, legal degrees and the like) are best left to accredited colleges. You'll notice that we have the EMT, Paramedic and Firefighter in here, that's simply because those are not necessarily things that people have to go to college for, you can start out your training fairly early and get everything you need from the state. Even the Emergency Management (here in the US) is something you can get certified for completely online for free through the FEMA website- the courses listed under that would simply be more indepth.

The first 30 credits would be general studies:

Introduction to the Jedi Code (2 credits) Introduction to the Jedi Doctrine (3 credits) Introduction to Comparative Religious Studies (3 credits) Nutrition (2 credits) Physical Fitness (12 credits) (there would be a variety of different options available based on the person's interest, from Martial Arts to basic gym- if the individual could not physically participate in anything, this would simply be replaced by an elective. 3 credits for each semester) Critical Thinking (3 credits) Emotional Intelligence (Intro to the Jedi Code being a prerequisite for this class) (3 credits) Introduction to Meditation (2 credits)

Then you would have your specialization.
Mystic:

Introduction to "the Force" (covers subjects that various religions believe "the Force" can be used for, and their different terms) (1 credits) Introduction to Hearing Voices (3 credits) Introduction to Alternative Healing (3 credits) Prayer, Ceremony and Ritual (3 credits) Psychological First Aide/Counseling (9 credits) Introduction to Spiritual Defenses and Exorcisms (4 credits) Advanced Meditation (2 credits) Comparative Religious Studies 102 (3 credits)
Sermons (2 credits) (basically teaches you to develop your own and how to deliver them to the masses)

Guardian:
(Emergency Management)
Computer Literacy (3 credits)
Basic First Aide (3 credits)
Dependence of Man on the Environment (3 credits)
Introduction to Sociology (3 credits)
Emergency Planning (3 credits)
Psychology of Disaster (3 credits)
Emergency Response to Terrorism (3 credits)
Basic Search and Rescue (3 credits)
Introduction to the National Incident Management System and Independent Study Program (6 credits) (admittedly this is American specific, but the series is still a good series to go through)

(Firefighter)
This would be done by an accredited process, and would include the EMT and Paramedic portions under Healer.

(Security)
For this plan your Physical Fitness would need to be something that involves some form of martial art.

Non-lethal (2 credits)
Rules & Ethics of Engagement (3 credits)
Fire Arms Appreciation (3 credits)
Introduction to Sociology (3 credits)
Physical Security (6 credits)
Awareness Drills (2 credits)
Interpersonal Communication & Verbal Judo (6 credits)
Community Patrolling Theory (2 credits)
Evidence Preservation (3 credits)

Healer:
(EMT and Paramedic)
Done through traditional accredited process

(Alternative Energy Healing)
Introduction to Alternative Healing (3 credits)
Prayer, Ceremony and Ritual (3 credits)
Herbology, Drugs and Vitamins (6 credits)
Psychological First Aide/Counseling (9 credits)
Energy Healing (6 credits) (offered would be Reiki, Qigong, Hypnosis, Introduction to Shamanic Healing and Sound Healing- you choose one)
Religion and Energy Healing Theory (3 credits)

(Alternative Holistic Healing)

Introduction to Alternative Healing (3 credits)
Herbology, Drugs and Vitamins (6 credits)
Psychological First Aide/ Counseling (6 credits)
Anatomy and Physiology (2 credits)
Internal Cleansing and Detoxification (2 credits)
Understanding Disease and Treatments (2 credits) 24
Alternative Healing Method (9 credits) (offered would be Ayurvedic, Aromatherapy, Acupuncture, Massage, Homeopathy, Reflexology, and Yoga)

If I found out I had been given control of a Jedi community college, I would wait until everyone went home, and burned it to the ground.

(hypothetically speaking)
