"The Field" Series Courses

I just finished up reading "The Field" as part of my novitiate studies, and I did some more looking around about her and her programs and came across these Field Series Courses http://www.lynnemctaggart.com/programs/the-field-series-courses .

They look like something Jedi might be interested in as an extension of what they learned in their readings, but have a price tag on them that prevents the casual observer from inquiring too deeply about them.

Has anyone has seen these or participated in them? If so, can you share with us your experiences?

I personally dislike the field. I am curious who believes it's ideas?

I am about to start on The Field...What exactly did you not like about it? I have heard a few people question McTaggart's diction, while others critique the content. Anything that really jumps out at me? Thanks for providing a little more insight before I jump into the ring, Drex :D

Drexid-

I thought it was pretty dope- the ideas about non-local consciousness, sonoluminescence, and the quantum properties of water and light are pretty intriguing. Its required reading for the novice training program, so if you didn't like it, I'm sure you'll have plenty to write about.

Lorian-

Dive into it man. I've read a few critiques and find that they're all not that helpful. There are gems in it and there is a bunch of words to fill space. I'm sure you'll find some rad stuff to inspire you. I found alot that was relevant because I have an interest in pranayama, which really accords with what she is getting at.

Interesting.
They certainly sound worth it though I can't seem to be able to find the price tag anywhere.
How much are they?
And also, The Field is essentially scientific proof of the Force.
So how you can be a Jedi but not understand the concepts in The Field, or at least how they relate to the Force confuses me.
That is, unless you're not into Quantum Physics, which in that case I would understand.
And yes, I know TOTJO says that the Council doesn't use it as proof of the Force; but there is no better proof then that for someone who disbelieves us on scientific grounds.

Well, that's a matter of opinion. The Field is one possible series of explanations for what we call the Force. Many amongst us believe it to be riddled with problems, dubious at best as a "scientific" document, and far less "proof" of anything at all.

If you liked it, got a lot out of it, found it resonated with you.. good. But others' mileage may vary.

Plenty of people are Jedi, believe in the Force and don't have a lot of time for The Field, or the studies and ideas it documents :)

Look at the dual slit experiment and you will understand why the field is just wrong. She relies on that as evidence so that theory falls apart. The zero point field is very important to the force (according to my theory on the force) but her usage is wrong. I am currently working on a theory of the life or the force and released a book on Amazon recently.

Had a look at those courses on her homepage. From the descriptions they sound like "The Secret" or one of these "Remote Viewing Courses" (I have one of those). And yes, nearly 90 $ for one lecture is too expensive. I wouldn't pay it anyway.

What's wrong with the dual slit experiment? I'm not an expert in Quantum physics but I do sometimes refer to that (as I understand it) as scientific evidence that particles may have some sort of consciousness and that something like the "Midi Chlorians" in the fiction could indeed exist.

The dual split experiment shows no evidence of consciousness. What it does show is that a particle detector affects the photon.http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uncertainty_principle

The closest thing to midi clorians is the bacteria we are made up of. Bacteria change your behaviour your hormones your inflation and even your energy. Also consider that there are soo many more bacterial cells living peacefully with us than our own cells and each of these bacterial cells excrete chemicals which directly activate processes in our own cells.
