Found this link via Facebook, and if like to know what you think of it. Is it accurate? What stage do you think you're at? How do you think you might progress if you aren't where you'd like to be?

In my experience?

Yes... Simplistic, but pretty accurate.... But, most charts are simplistic..;)

But you know how people hate getting pigeonholed!!!

...

ESPECIALLY ME!!...

But, yea....

MAny come here, probably between a 3 and a 4.
...

Ironically, the Stage 3 people usually think that Stage 4 people have become "backsliders"

Again, I use the word "ESPECIALLY"....

ESPECIALLY when we move back into symbolism and 'old stories'... lol...

My path is 'right on track'...;)

Interesting!! I disagree with the age assessments, they seem to be a bit worse case for age scenario.

I crossed referenced it to my more general human 'development' diagram (which is best case for age) and I think it fit's quite nicely. Though mine has 7 steps and that has 6.

I think the first 3 levels are a 1 for 1 match, but level 4 seems shared between my levels 5 and 6, with the last level being the same. Slight different focus but I found it interesting;

Now if we'd both bothered to use the actual color spectrum ordering of colours it would have been more interesting

I believe I'm between stage four and five in the left column, and in the last stage on the right column. :D

I love things like this.

Of course, besides the over simplification of some charts/graphs such as Steamboat's link...

There's Adder's post which goes the other way,.....

Ooo, I like this! Not the chart/scale itself so much as the...trying to spot oneself on it. It's an interesting exercise in trying to work out whether you see yourself as you truly are or whether you have delusions of spiritual grandeur...

I'd like to think that I'm a stage 5. But, in reality I'm not sure that I'm fully out of stage 4. I'm undergoing a massive personal rejection of Christianity at the moment, which is sometimes embarrassingly teenager-like in its rebelliousness. I think also that it's possible to regress along the scale, or possibly to do parts of it in a cycle. I think that maybe 2-4 could be repeated over and over again, by someone who keeps throwing themselves into new belief systems. Like Adder, I'm therefore not convinced that these stages necessarily correspond to age in the way that is implied in the chart.

The basic theory can be applied, not only to those in traditional faiths, but those who follow alternative spiritualities or secular worldviews as well

This was interesting to me, coming from a secular background. Most of my secular friends are very much at Stage 3 and tend to reinforce their position there, and it'll be interesting to see if any move on to Stage 4 over the next few decades.

I'd have to put myself at stage 4-5 transition as well. I think the nature of Jediism means a lot of us will be there. We acknowledge that no one path can take us to every destination.. we understand that synthesis is often preferable, and that even then we won't find an answer for absolutely everything.

Interesting link, thanks for sharing it!
