I love origami, yes. I'm not exceptionally good at it, but I enjoy it :)

I love origami. I was never adept at learning from drawings in books, but from another person. It's the only way I could get the "feel" right when I did it. Technically, the first thing I made was an airplane, but in the sense that we typically mean, the crane was my first. I used to call it a swan, but I learned better. :P We even got to do origami in some of my math classes. My skills were put to the test, then, when I got swarmed with kids trying to get me to teach them. Almost got me in trouble, but I fortunately had an intelligent enough teacher that used that opportunity to let me get some teaching experience in there, even if it was a minuscule task. Kept the classroom quiet enough for her to focus on grading papers.

I've often found that the arts have a profoundly soothing effect, so it's no wonder origami falls into this category. Much like solving a Rubik's cube, origami is a sort of meditation for me.

Great topic! Now I want to fold again.

That's why I took up balloon animals, which eventually led me to clowning. Which is awkward, because everybody hates clowns.

I only knew how to make the Paper Cranes and to be honest it was only due to a girl i liked thought they where pretty. I tend to fiddle on my guitar or build Models or sharpen my sword. What I'm getting at is that Meditation doesn't have to be any one thing. As i see it the point is to reach a moment of stillness to be Empty and allow "The Force" to .. fill us... that sounds dirty lol
