Isn't what the trainning of this place is all about weither it's, skills, knowledge or inspirationt?

The other thing that comes to mind is, and I know it's simple minded, isn't it all about living your life as the best person you can be? You live it and learn as you go?

I don't know, it's a rock day. :)

Is it possible that asking for suggestions is reading as fostering dependency?

First off, I must say that Opie has some very awesome ideas and is growing on me very quickly.

For me, there is no "corriculi" or "way of doing things". We have the IP to give people a start and then the rest is up to them and what they can learn from their Masters.

Though I do believe that if people wish to have their skills to be listed so that others may contact them in hopes of learning something new, that should be done. Most of this can easily be posted in our "Introduction" when we first make our Journals.

I am always happy to reiterate my skills for those willing to read and wanting to learn. :)

I will list them from most know and easiest to teach to the lesser of each.

Healing Arts (Crystals, Herbalism, Vampyre Healing, Empathic Healing, Inner Light Healing)
Meditation
Focusing
Astral Travel
Martial Arts (Tang Soo Do)
Druidry
Tarot Reading
Runes

Of course, you could also take the IP and "beef it up" to include more materials, the kind rugadd is asking ideas for to include as "basic" recommended materials.

I like how Connor and Opie have approached this. Let's share what we have found useful on our own paths and then each can decide what may be of interest to them. It isn't the best comparison, but the Boy Scout program works in a similar way. There is a basic set of skills and knowledge expected of someone to earn rank, but beyond that there are hundreds of merit badges an individual can choose to specialize in. By the time an individual reaches the rank of Eagle Scout they have forged a path all their own, and yet collectively every Eagle Scout shares similar goals and ideals. I would imagine the military equivalent would be basic training for everyone followed by specialized training best suited to the individual soldier.

Not to be too passive-aggressive, but a skill that has helped me is grammar and spelling, as it aids immensely in communication.

For example, the subjects comprising a course of study is known as a "curriculum." The plural of "curriculum" is "curricula."

Thank you and good night!

Would "pedantic" not be more acurate than "passive-aggressive"?

:woohoo:

I'm just teasing. I do agree with you though.

I've been living a lie! I was convinced it was curriculi

"I'm becoming more myself all the time."

I try to make that true.

That's one of the beautiful things about the master/apprentice relationship - the master tailors the path of the apprentice to encourage growth. What is of value to me differs from what is of value to Brenna, to Naya, to Sean.

The paths we take to find the Jedi within are never trodden twice.

Jedi Knight

The self-confidence of the warrior is not the self-confidence of the average man. The average man seeks certainty in the eyes of the onlooker and calls that self-confidence. The warrior seeks impeccability in his own eyes and calls that humbleness. The average man is hooked to his fellow men, while the warrior is hooked only to infinity.
