if someone actually built a temple dedicated to the teachings of jedism and the practices would you.

I really despise cities, flats, and traditional jobs... I'd rather sleep in a tent and eat out of a dumpster than live in a hamster cage and be an obedient worker-bee all dressed up in retard clothing playing retard games like "find a parking space" or "stand in line to buy goods made by Chinese slave children".

Nope, I wouldn't mind working at a temple much like you would for a church, but living at one. Nope, not this chick. I, like tbz, believe Jedi should be living in the world around them.

What if i said that you should try just once, to sacrifice everything to experience one. The sacrifice is temporary. Think of it as testing a living condition. What if i was to say, try not attaching yourself so closely to whats around you. As Buddhism teaches, "all great things must end". Those who enjoy the temple can stay and those who dont can leave (but of course, can always coma back).

Think of this temple as the senate in star wars. Its like our home base. Some people live their some don't.

Your sarcasm is confusing.

I question that ...

Living in a tent and eating from a bin is an accessible lifestyle. So, if you aren't living like that, it is highly doubtful that this is what you really prefer.

Personally, I feel that that would suck.

What the previous three individuals said.

Anyways, even if you asked me to try it temporarily I wouldn't do it. I'm not into communal living beyond it's purpose for something like a summer camp or Basic Training. If you were to tell me it was a training facility and I was going to train on a specific type of job, or I was sending my kids there for a legit summer camping experience, I might go for it. But it would have to be highly organized.

I will build a "temple" like this someday, but, no, it will not be based specifically on the teachings of Jediism. It will be an orphanage where the broken, lost, and misfit children of the world (as well as their families, of course) will be welcome to come and live for as long as they are able or need to stay. There will be no requirements but that these children (for we are all yet children in the Force) live, grow, and let live in health, love, and peace. I will not force any doctrine upon anyone there; yet, there will be a library with all the doctrines of the world for all to read of freely.

I am no Jedi. I am an enlightened man. I am a demigod. And I am that I am.

The Force is with me for I am with the Force. The Force is all and all is the Force. We are all the One and the One is we. This "temple" will work because it does NOT focus on any one study and practice. This "temple" will work because it does NOT require anything of those staying or visiting but that they come as they are.

“Now I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly, dreaming I am a man.” -Zhuangzi

“Though, as the crusade presses on, I find myself altogether incapable of staying here in saftey while others shed their blood for such a noble and just cause. For surely must the Almighty be with us even in the sundering of our nation. Our fight is for freedom, for liberty, and for all the principles upon which that aforementioned nation was built.” - Patrick “Madman of Galway” O'Dell

I wouldn't call it accessible. To live like this you have to put up with mayors smashing your belongings with sledgehammers, people calling you a bum, police harassment, etc. You'd be lucky to get through 1 week without being murdered or locked in a cage.

Despite all that, how many people claim to love the outdoors, camping, nature, etc? How many problems are a direct result of city life? How many people work hard all year and save up their money and vacation so they can go sleep in a tent? Last time I went camping the parks were overrun with campers and it was in the middle of the week with cold weather and rain so...

As for dumpster diving, it's still pretty accessible. I made out like a bandit this year ;). In fact, I just played golf with the new clubs I found :woohoo:
