Kol Drake wrote: I've been chatting with Tess over at the IJRS for a few weeks now... and no... she did NOT take down the EJO site. Her own computers got hacked a day or so ago by this same Lord X... I was working with an IT specialist last night while some of his 'spam attacks' were messing with her computer. This same Lord X had also copied/mirrored her ID/IP so it looks like Tess is doing this when she can not... she's been in hospital after an auto accident.. so she's not able to 'do' this stuff right now.

Need to look toward the actual spammer/hacker -- the video wonk instead of laying it on Tess.

Excellent, Kol. I thought as much, but I couldn't make that assumption on my own. However, it is interesting that Tess is, in fact, a Sith, and yet is a member of IJRS? I wasn't aware. ;) I should pay closer attention.

Not aware she is a 'Sith'.... she was a newbie at the IJRS.. and asked questions about the site and courses.. just as all other newbies have over the last dozen years. After a few posts, she IM'ed me and asked about the force course.. which I've worked with/on and around for ... again, which I've worked on.. before even being on any 'jedi' web sites. As such, we chat and she asks and I soapbox and point to threads which can illustrate points. Did not know that constituted 'being a Sith' per se. But... I also dont' get into all the flame wars and politics of other sites.. so... I am out of those loops.

Kol, if you'd like, you can PM me at IJRS and we can discuss this privately. Not the place, here.

Perhaps Jedi don't have 'enemies', from the Jedi's perspective

<yawn> 'tis a waste of time worrying...these sort of things happen at least 2 times a year...

Worrying is like playing with yourself, it gives you something to do but you don't want to be caught doing it...

This is perhaps the most profound viewing of worrying I have ever come across.

This all seems like a lot of drama?

Should we give the culprit the attention he/she desires?

The more pertinent question is, should I allow a bully to continue threatening people I know? Who are my students?

While it may seem like a lot of drama, it's an extremely serious issue that has led to death or worse in some cases. I'm not interested in "giving" attention.

I personally think this is as Ren stated earlier "a legal issue" and that the council should be taking steps towards having the culprit found and (not punished), but definitely warned of how serious a criminal offense this matter would be if he were to act upon his threats.

After all it would be a religious hate crime and an attack on a place of religious worship. if TotJO were a physical temple then the police would be all over this, just because we only exist in an online format at the moment doesn't make it any less important.
