I'm an omnivor with a bias toward less animal protein,(but I can't give it up) and fresh produce, home cooking, buy local, plant a garden, bake bread, make beer, wine and cheese. I'm not against animal protein, I just don't think what is massed produced is as healthy as it could be.
I may tinker with hydroponics this winter to supplement our desire for fresh veggies. Tomatoes and greens mostly.
My soy beans are done, at least this batch, taste & smell are OK, more mild than expected. Don't know about the gas yet. I need to cook them a little longer before the ferment so they will come out a little more tender.
Just started fermenting fresh shredded beets. Real intense color!

Flanders and Swann.
1950's and 60's british (Extremely British) comic duo who composed such great songs as 'The reluctant Cannibal', the 'Gnu song' and many more.
I used to spend many hours as a child listening to this old record we had of one of their shows, it's rather old school but pretty funny and it's full of great memories for me. Here's a couple of my favourites,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AjnOj9O16_I - The Hippotamus Song
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EdY1Y5XNJBY - The Patriotic Song
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPgo6s1lBbw - The Gnu song (I'm a Gnu!)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dCdshepGguI - Song of the weather, The Reluctant Cannibal and Design for Living (including comic monologues inbetween)

There is passion, yet there is peace
Through passion I gain strength and knowledge
Through strength and knowledge I gain victory
Through victory I gain peace and harmony
Through peace and harmony my chains are broken
