Xbox One! (E3) was created by
E3 began today, so of course my gamer friends and I are excited about all of the new game and feature announcements for Xbox One.
I'm enthusiastic about the system and the work they've done in terms of hardware, software, connectivity, media integration, and playability.
A few Xbox One exclusives that look great (click links to view trailers):
Quantum Break , Halo 5 , Dead Rising 3 , Sunset Overdrive , Ryse: Son of Rome , D4 , Forza Motorsport 5 , Crimson Dragon , Minecraft: Xbox One Edition
And a couple that aren't exclusives that look great:
The Witcher 3 , Destiny
Not to mention Call of Duty: Ghosts, Metal Gear Solid V, Assassin's Creed IV, The Evil Within, Cyberpunk 2077, and the various sports, fitness, and rhythm games that will be available on Xbox One and PS4.
(Please don't allow this post to turn into a PS4 vs. Xbox One battle. I would love to know more about the PS4 announcements made at E3 if anyone wants to start another thread.)

I'm excited, too. Especially for Ghosts. The teaser trailer drives me crazy. Short trip, but still..

I'm not worried personally. When people see how the console works and understand why certain decisions were made I think they'll feel better about perceived issues around privacy or rights management.
I find it a bit funny that people are concerned about this. The amount of personal information that we send out into the world every day indiscriminately is amazing. As you know, I'm extremely privacy conscious, so it should be somehow relevant that I'm not troubled by this at all.

1984 has arrived. Big Brother is in your game console.
On a serious note, there is a difference between putting out information about yourself because you're signing up for things and using social networking sites vs. having the government take private information without search warrants.
Will the Xbox be a way for the government to gain even more access to private lives that they have no right to? It could be. I guess we'll have to wait and see if they start using it for that.

Privacy by Design: How Xbox One and the New Kinect Sensor Put You in Control
"By design, you will determine how responsive and personalized your Xbox One is to you and your family during setup. The system will navigate you through key privacy options, like automatic or manual sign in, privacy settings, and clear notifications about how data is used. When Xbox One is on and you're simply having a conversation in your living room, your conversation is not being recorded or uploaded."
"You can play games or enjoy applications that use data, such as videos, photos, facial expressions, heart rate and more, but this data will not leave your Xbox One without your explicit permission."

I'll be honest, I've only heard the rumors and articles like I posted...
I won't buy one for my son for a while, cause, well, like you said, we all put more than enough info out there, lol..
Ill let you first few buyers check the waters, then see...

PS4 ALL the way.
And, of course, whatever NIntendo surprises me with tomorrow morning.
