How do you apply the jedi path to your job. And vise versa.

Personally, by applying it in the way you treat people, handle conflict or difficulties and in the attitude you approach your work with.

I'm lucky that my work allows me to be of service and help improve people's well being anyway, but it's not about the type of work you do. It's about your approach to it.

Working in retail I often deal with difficult customers. The ideals of Jediism are helping me cope with the days that make me want to quit my job. Not only has Jediism helped with those tough clients, but it is helping me handle my coworkers as well.

I too do customer service type work....and it (jediism) helps keep the other me in check...it prevents me from jumping over the counter and throttling the annoying, rude, idiotic, etc customers....there are days where i'd like nothing more than to turn certain customers into quivering puddles of goo

In my work, Jedi practices help me to take care of people the way they need, regardless of what they think they "want" at the outset. The Force acts, I'm just the instrument ...

jediism, is a way of life, so if you think and act as a jedi in your life, no matter what, your force interact with the environment, and other people. think, even the people that don't follow jediism, also their force interact...

you are there knowing your force, you can always look for the balance of the force, between you and others...

the force is always there

How does Jediism affect my studies (I altered it because I'm a college kid haha)?

It affects it in many ways:
1. I'm compassionate in my connections with students and teachers.
2. I believe in being honest. There is no escape from the eyes of God. (Christian influence)
3. I try to be a good student. (It shows with a 4.0 GPA). My work ethic and the Jedi code says I should look to be the best person I can be.
4. It keeps me from being lazy. There's always more to be passionate about.
5. And, of course, it's beautiful to share my story whenever it occurs. People are often curious about my path and it provides new perspectives to them.

well, from what I can gather, most people here consider themselves "Jedi" and their work should be their mission. So "Jediism" should not affect their work at all, because a Jedi must follow the maxim: Do not elevate the self above the mission.

o_O While I kinda agree with that... where does it say that Jedi must follow that maxim?
