Metro Detroit Jedi s was created by
Hello my name is Adam and i live in the metro detroit area in michigan usa and i wanted to know if there were any fellow jedi in my area. And i wanted to know if any of you would be interested in having a gathering per say or like a studie group kind of thing. I just really have no one in my faith to share philosophies and idea about jediism pritty much most of my friends and family are predominantly Christian or Catholic and kind of just laugh or make fun of me for being a jedi but they are just religiously close minded. So if any fellow jedi in the metro detroit area would like to get together reply on this thread or send me a pm thanks and hope to hear from you.

Greetings Adam,
And welcome to TOTJO (Temple of the Jedi Order). I am glad you're here and I do look forward to getting to know you better as our paths interact. If you haven't already, take a moment and check out the F.A.Q. Also, may I suggest the Initiates Program ? Many have found it a great way to continue their own personal journeys.
Good journey, and...
May the Force be with you.

Hello wescli wardest,
I have already started my initiates program and i have looked through this site actually daily i just feel like im alone in becoming a jedi. And i know im not alone and there are many out there probably feeling and thinking the same things i am but for me it helps having other people in my life to share and Converse with about jediism like i said in my post not all of my friends but alot of them kinda just laugh at my new found faith and my family more or less does the same but it does not make me angry (surprisingly lol) because i understand why. I felt the same way about it before i actually looked into it i and the people i associate with always thought "oh thats just star wars fans that take it to seriously" but its funny cause any one who would ask me what my religion was id always say " i dont follow main stream religion but in my personal experience the closest thing would be the religion of the jedi" who would of thought id actually become a Jedi lol. But i learn and act more efficiently by seeing or watching on a more personal level thats why i would like to find other jedi in my area to talk to and share theories and life and such . But thank you for acknowledging my post i appreciate some one who cares

Part of the seduction of most religions is the idea that if you just say the right things and believe really hard, your salvation will be at hand.

Hi Adam,
I know how you feel. Im in an area where there doesnt seem to be anyone either. It does seem pretty lonely sometimes and I often wish that there was someone I could just sit with and chat to without having to monitor what I say. This site has really helped because (and I know this sounds weird) but you start to be able to feel people through communicating with them and eventually, it doesnt feel like you're alone, as though youve actually spent time with the people here.
That said, I could do with a Jedi party!
